Isaías 62

1 For Zion’s sake will I not hold my peace, and for Jerusalem’s sake I will not rest, until the righteousness thereof go forth as brightness, and the salvation thereof as a lamp that burneth. 2 And the Gentiles shall see thy righteousness, and all kings thy glory: and thou shalt be called by a new name, which the mouth of the LORD shall name. 3 Thou shalt also be a crown of glory in the hand of the LORD, and a royal diadem in the hand of thy God. 4 Thou shalt no more be termed Forsaken; neither shall thy land any more be termed Desolate: but thou shalt be called Hephzi-bah, and thy land Beulah: for the LORD delighteth in thee, and thy land shall be married.*62.4 Hephzi-bah: that is, My delight is in her*62.4 Beulah: that is, Married

5 For as a young man marrieth a virgin, so shall thy sons marry thee: and as the bridegroom rejoiceth over the bride, so shall thy God rejoice over thee.*62.5 as the…: Heb. with the joy of the bridegroom

6 I have set watchmen upon thy walls, O Jerusalem, which shall never hold their peace day nor night: ye that make mention of the LORD, keep not silence,*62.6 make…: or, are the LORD’s remembrancers 7 And give him no rest, till he establish, and till he make Jerusalem a praise in the earth.*62.7 rest: Heb. silence 8 The LORD hath sworn by his right hand, and by the arm of his strength, Surely I will no more give thy corn to be meat for thine enemies; and the sons of the stranger shall not drink thy wine, for the which thou hast laboured:*62.8 Surely…: Heb. If I give, etc 9 But they that have gathered it shall eat it, and praise the LORD; and they that have brought it together shall drink it in the courts of my holiness.

10 Go through, go through the gates; prepare ye the way of the people; cast up, cast up the highway; gather out the stones; lift up a standard for the people. 11 Behold, the LORD hath proclaimed unto the end of the world, Say ye to the daughter of Zion, Behold, thy salvation cometh; behold, his reward is with him, and his work before him.*62.11 work: or, recompence 12 And they shall call them, The holy people, The redeemed of the LORD: and thou shalt be called, Sought out, A city not forsaken.

1 POR amor de Sión no callaré, y por amor de Jerusalem no he de parar, hasta que salga como resplandor ✝62.1 Pr. 4.18.su justicia, y su salud se encienda como una antorcha.

2 ✝ 62.2 Sal. 98.2. Entonces verán las gentes tu justicia, y ✝62.2 cp. 60.3.todos los reyes tu gloria; ✝62.2 cp. 65.15. Ap. 2.17 y 3.12.y te será puesto un nombre nuevo, que la boca de Jehová nombrará.

3 Y serás ✝62.3 Zac. 9.16.corona de gloria en la mano de Jehová, y diadema de reino en la mano del Dios tuyo.

4 ✝ 62.4 Os. 1.10. 1 P. 2.10. Nunca más te llamarán ✝62.4 cp. 49.14 y 60.15.Desamparada, ni tu tierra se dirá más Asolamiento; sino que serás llamada Hephzibah, y tu tierra, Beulah; porque el amor de Jehová será en ti, y tu tierra será casada.

5 Pues como el mancebo se casa con la virgen, se casarán contigo tus hijos; y como el gozo del esposo con la esposa, así se ✝62.5 cp. 65.19.gozará contigo el Dios tuyo.

6 Sobre tus muros, oh Jerusalem, ✝62.6 Ez. 3.17.he puesto guardas; todo el día y toda la noche no callarán jamás. Los que os acordáis de Jehová, no ceséis,

7 Ni le deis tregua, hasta que confirme, y hasta que ponga á Jerusalem en ✝62.7 cp. 61.11. Sof. 3.20.alabanza en la tierra.

8 Juró Jehová por su mano derecha, y por el brazo de su fortaleza: Que jamás ✝62.8 Dt. 28.31,33. Jer. 5.17.daré tu trigo por comida á tus enemigos, ni beberán los extraños el vino que tú trabajaste:

9 Mas los que lo allegaron lo comerán, y alabarán á Jehová; y los que lo cogieron, lo beberán ✝62.9 Dt. 12.12 y 14.23,26.en los atrios de mi santuario.

10 Pasad, pasad por las puertas; ✝62.10 cp. 40.3 y 57.14.barred el camino al pueblo; allanad, allanad la calzada, quitad las piedras, ✝62.10 cp. 49.22.alzad pendón á los pueblos.

11 He aquí que Jehová hizo oir hasta lo último de la tierra: ✝62.11 Zac. 9.9.Decid á la hija de Sión: ✝62.11 cp. 46.13.He aquí viene tu Salvador; he aquí ✝62.11 cp. 40.10.su recompensa con él, y delante de él su obra.

12 Y llamarles han ✝62.12 cp. 63.18.Pueblo Santo, ✝62.12 cp. 35.9.Redimidos de Jehová; y á ti te llamarán Ciudad Buscada, ✝62.12 ver. 4no desamparada.
