Romanos 15

1 We then that are strong ought to bear the infirmities of the weak, and not to please ourselves. 2 Let every one of us please his neighbour for his good to edification. 3 For even Christ pleased not himself; but, as it is written, The reproaches of them that reproached thee fell on me. 4 For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope. 5 Now the God of patience and consolation grant you to be likeminded one toward another according to Christ Jesus: 6 That ye may with one mind and one mouth glorify God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.

7 Wherefore receive ye one another, as Christ also received us to the glory of God. 8 Now I say that Jesus Christ was a minister of the circumcision for the truth of God, to confirm the promises made unto the fathers: 9 And that the Gentiles might glorify God for his mercy; as it is written, For this cause I will confess to thee among the Gentiles, and sing unto thy name. 10 And again he saith, Rejoice, ye Gentiles, with his people. 11 And again, Praise the Lord, all ye Gentiles; and laud him, all ye people. 12 And again, Esaias saith, There shall be a root of Jesse, and he that shall rise to reign over the Gentiles; in him shall the Gentiles trust. 13 Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost. 14 And I myself also am persuaded of you, my brethren, that ye also are full of goodness, filled with all knowledge, able also to admonish one another. 15 Nevertheless, brethren, I have written the more boldly unto you in some sort, as putting you in mind, because of the grace that is given to me of God, 16 That I should be the minister of Jesus Christ to the Gentiles, ministering the gospel of God, that the offering up of the Gentiles might be acceptable, being sanctified by the Holy Ghost. 17 I have therefore whereof I may glory through Jesus Christ in those things which pertain to God. 18 For I will not dare to speak of any of those things which Christ hath not wrought by me, to make the Gentiles obedient, by word and deed, 19 Through mighty signs and wonders, by the power of the Spirit of God; so that from Jerusalem, and round about unto Illyricum, I have fully preached the gospel of Christ. 20 Yea, so have I strived to preach the gospel, not where Christ was named, lest I should build upon another man’s foundation: 21 But as it is written, To whom he was not spoken of, they shall see: and they that have not heard shall understand. 22 For which cause also I have been much hindered from coming to you. 23 But now having no more place in these parts, and having a great desire these many years to come unto you; 24 Whensoever I take my journey into Spain, I will come to you: for I trust to see you in my journey, and to be brought on my way thitherward by you, if first I be somewhat filled with your company. 25 But now I go unto Jerusalem to minister unto the saints. 26 For it hath pleased them of Macedonia and Achaia to make a certain contribution for the poor saints which are at Jerusalem. 27 It hath pleased them verily; and their debtors they are. For if the Gentiles have been made partakers of their spiritual things, their duty is also to minister unto them in carnal things. 28 When therefore I have performed this, and have sealed to them this fruit, I will come by you into Spain. 29 And I am sure that, when I come unto you, I shall come in the fulness of the blessing of the gospel of Christ.

30 Now I beseech you, brethren, for the Lord Jesus Christ’s sake, and for the love of the Spirit, that ye strive together with me in your prayers to God for me; 31 That I may be delivered from them that do not believe in Judaea; and that my service which I have for Jerusalem may be accepted of the saints; 32 That I may come unto you with joy by the will of God, and may with you be refreshed. 33 Now the God of peace be with you all. Amen.

2 Cada uno de nosotros ✝15.2 1 Co. 10.33.agrade á su prójimo en bien, ✝15.2 cp. 14.19.a edificación.

3 ✝ 15.3 Fil. 2.5. Porque Cristo no se agradó á sí mismo; antes bien, como está escrito: ✝15.3 Sal. 69.9.Los vituperios de los que te vituperan, cayeron sobre mí.

4 Porque ✝15.4 cp. 4.23,24. 1 Co. 9.9,10 y 10.6. 2 Ti. 3.16,17.las cosas que antes fueron escritas, para nuestra enseñanza fueron escritas; para que por la paciencia, y por ✝15.4 Sal. 119.50.la consolación de las Escrituras, tengamos esperanza.

5 Mas el Dios de la paciencia y de la consolación ✝15.5 cp. 12.16.os dé que entre vosotros seáis unánimes según Cristo Jesús;

6 Para que concordes, á una boca glorifiquéis ✝15.6 2 Co. 1.3 y 11.31. Ef. 1.3.al Dios y Padre de nuestro Señor Jesucristo.

7 Por tanto, ✝15.7 cp. 14.1,3.sobrellevaos los unos á los otros, como también Cristo nos sobrellevó, para gloria de Dios.

8 Digo, pues, que ✝15.8 Mt. 15.24.Cristo Jesús fué hecho ministro de la circuncisión por la verdad de Dios, ✝15.8 2 Co. 1.20.para confirmar las promesas hechas á los padres,

9 Y para que los Gentiles glorifiquen á Dios por la misericordia; como está escrito:

✝ 15.9 2 S. 22.50. Sal. 18.49. Por tanto yo te confesaré entre los Gentiles,

Y cantaré á tu nombre.

10 Y otra vez dice:

✝ 15.10 Dt. 32.43. Alegraos, Gentiles, con su pueblo.

11 Y otra vez:

✝ 15.11 Sal. 117.1. Alabad al Señor todos los Gentiles,

Y magnificadle, todos los pueblos.

12 Y otra vez, dice Isaías:

✝ 15.12 Is. 11.10. Estará la raíz de Jessé,

Y el que se levantará á regir los Gentiles:

Los Gentiles esperarán en él.

13 Y el Dios de esperanza os llene de todo gozo y paz creyendo, para que abundéis en esperanza por la virtud del Espíritu Santo.

14 Empero ✝15.14 2 P. 1.12. 1 Jn. 2.21.cierto estoy yo de vosotros, hermanos míos, que aun vosotros mismos estáis llenos de bodad, llenos de todo conocimiento, de tal manera que podáis amonestaros los unos á los otros.

15 Mas os he escrito, hermanos, en parte resueltamente, como amonestádoos por ✝15.15 cp. 1.5.la gracia que de Dios me es dada,

16 ✝ 15.16 Hch. 9.15. cp. 11.13 Para ser ministro de Jesucristo á los Gentiles, ministrando el evangelio de Dios, para que la ofrenda de los Gentiles sea ✝15.16 ver. 31. 2 Co. 8.12.agradable, santificada por el Espíritu Santo.

17 Tengo, pues, de qué gloriarme en Cristo Jesús en lo que mira á Dios.

18 Porque no osaría hablar alguna cosa ✝15.18 Hch. 15.12 y 21.19. Ga. 2.8.que Cristo no haya hecho por mí ✝15.18 cp. 1.5 y 16.26.para la obediencia de los Gentiles, con la palabra y con las obras,

19 Con potencia de milagros ✝15.19 Hch. 19.11.y prodigios, en virtud del Espíritu de Dios: de manera que desde Jerusalem, y por los alrededores hasta Ilírico, he llenado todo del evangelio de Cristo.

20 Y de esta manera me esforcé á predicar el evangelio, no donde antes Cristo fuese nombrado, ✝15.20 1 Co. 3.10. 2 Co. 10.13,15,16.por no edificar sobre ajeno fundamento:

21 Sino, como esta escrito:

✝ 15.21 Is. 52.15. A los que no fué anunciado de él, verán:

Y los que no oyeron, entenderán.

22 Por lo cual aun he ✝15.22 1 Ts. 2.18.sido impedido muchas veces de venir á vosotros.

23 Mas ahora no teniendo más lugar en estas ✝15.23 2 Co. 11.10.regiones, ✝15.23 ver. 32. Hch. 19.21. cp. 1.11y deseando ir á vosotros muchos años há,

24 Cuando partiere para España, iré á vosotros; porque espero que pasando os veré, ✝15.24 Hch. 15.3.y que seré llevado de vosotros allá, si empero antes hubiere gozado de vosotros.

25 Mas ahora ✝15.25 Hch. 19.21 y 20.3,22 y 24.17.parto para Jerusalem á ministrar á los santos.

26 Porque ✝15.26 Hch. 19.21. 1 Ts. 1.7,8.Macedonia y Acaya tuvieron ✝15.26 Hch. 24.17. 2 Co. 9.2.por bien hacer una colecta para los pobres de los santos que están en Jerusalem.

27 Porque les pareció bueno, y son deudores á ellos: ✝15.27 cp. 11.17. 1 Co. 9.11.porque si los Gentiles han sido hechos participantes de sus bienes espirituales, deben también ellos servirles en los carnales.

28 Así que, cuando hubiere concluído esto, y les hubiere consignado ✝15.28 cp. 1.13.este fruto, pasaré por vosotros á España.

29 Y sé ✝15.29 cp. 1.11.que cuando llegue á vosotros, llegaré con abundancia de la bendición del evangelio de Cristo.

30 Ruégoos empero, hermanos, por el Señor nuestro Jesucristo, y por la caridad del Espíritu, ✝15.30 2 Co. 1.11. Col. 4.12.que me ayudéis con oraciones por mí á Dios,

31 Que sea librado ✝15.31 Hch. 20.22,23. 2 Co. 1.10. 2 Ts. 3.2.de los rebeldes que están en Judea, y que la ofrenda de mi servicio á los santos en Jerusalem sea ✝15.31 ver. 16acepta;

32 Para ✝15.32 cp. 1.10.que con gozo llegue á vosotros por la voluntad de Dios, y que sea recreado juntamente con vosotros.

33 Y ✝15.33 cp. 16.20. Fil. 4.9. 1 Ts. 5.23.el Dios de paz sea con todos vosotros. Amén.
