This is my comfort in my affliction, that thy promise hath revived me.
It is lovely to me that the Lord heareth my voice, my supplications.

The Lord also will be a stronghold for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of distress.
The Lord is good, a stronghold on the day of distress; and he knoweth those that trust in him.

51 The presumptuous have held me too greatly in derision: yet have I not departed away from thy law.
52 I remembered thy decrees which were from olden times, O Lord, and thus comforted myself.
For I alone know the thoughts that I entertain respecting you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you a happy future and hope.
