1The elder to Gaius the beloved, whom I love in truth!

14and I hope to see you soon, and we will speak mouth to mouth. Peace to you! The friends greet you. Be greeting the friends by name.

4The words of a man’s mouth [are] deep waters, || The fountain of wisdom [is] a flowing brook.

12The heart of man is high before destruction, || And humility [is] before honor.

24A man with friends—to show himself friendly, || And there is a lover adhering more than a brother!

14let all your things be done in love.

22if anyone does not cherish the Lord Jesus Christ—let him be accursed! The LORD has come!

24my love [is] with you all in Christ Jesus! Amen.

20for which I am an ambassador in a chain, that in it I may speak freely—as it is necessary for me to speak.

23Peace to the brothers, and love, with faith, from God the Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ!

24The grace with all those loving our Lord Jesus Christ—undecayingly! Amen.

18-

4Love is long-suffering, it is kind, love does not envy, love does not vaunt itself, is not puffed up,

8Love never fails; and whether [there be] prophecies, they will become useless; whether tongues, they will cease; whether knowledge, it will become useless;

13and now there remains faith, hope, love—these three; and the greatest of these [is] love.

13bearing with one another, and forgiving each other, if anyone may have a quarrel with anyone, as the Christ also forgave you—so also you;

14and above all these things, [have] love, which is a bond of the perfection,

23and all, whatever you may do—out of soul work—as to the LORD, and not to men,

17that the Christ may dwell through the faith in your hearts, having been rooted and founded in love,

19to know also the love of the Christ that is exceeding the knowledge, that you may be filled—to all the fullness of God;

21to Him [is] the glory in the Assembly in Christ Jesus, to all the generations of the age of the ages. Amen.

5Your head on you as Carmel, || And the locks of your head as purple, || The king is bound with the flowings!

6How beautiful and how pleasant you have been, || O love, in delights.

10I [am] my beloved’s, and on me [is] his desire.

1To where has your beloved gone, || O beautiful among women? To where has your beloved turned, || And we seek him with you?

2My beloved went down to his garden, || To the beds of the spice, || To delight himself in the gardens, and to gather lilies.

3I [am] my beloved’s, and my beloved [is] mine, || Who is delighting himself among the lilies.

1To everything—a season, and a time to every delight under the heavens:

3A time to slay, || And a time to heal, || A time to break down, || And a time to build up.

8A time to love, || And a time to hate. A time of war, || And a time of peace.

13I have strength for all things, in Christ’s strengthening me;

20and to God, even our Father, [is] the glory through the ages of the ages. Amen.

23The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ [is] with you all! Amen.

1My son! Give attention to my wisdom, || Incline your ear to my understanding,

19A doe of loves, and a roe of grace! Let her loves satisfy you at all times, || Magnify yourself in her love continually.

20And why do you magnify yourself, || My son, with a stranger? And embrace the bosom of a strange woman?

2Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the acknowledgment of God and of Jesus our Lord!

6and with knowledge—self-control, and with self-control—endurance, and with endurance—piety,

7and with piety—brotherly kindness, and with brotherly kindness—love;

9And I have destroyed the Amorite from before them, || Whose height [is] as the height of cedars, || And he [is] strong as the oaks, || And I destroy his fruit from above, || And his roots from beneath.

13From there they have journeyed and encamp beyond Arnon, which [is] in the wilderness which is coming out of the border of the Amorite, for Arnon [is] the border of Moab, between Moab and the Amorite;

16and the fourth generation turns back here, for the iniquity of the Amorite is not yet complete."

19Even Sihon king of the Amorite, || For His kindness [is] for all time.

8and they crush and oppress the sons of Israel in that year; [and for] eighteen years—all the sons of Israel [who] are beyond the Jordan, in the land of the Amorite, which [is] in Gilead.
