18 And of Jesus Christ, the birth was thus: for His mother Mary having been betrothed to Joseph, before their coming together she was found to have conceived from the Holy Spirit, 19 and her husband Joseph being righteous, and not willing to make her an example, resolved to send her away privately. 20 And on his thinking of these things, behold, a messenger of the LORD appeared to him in a dream, saying, "Joseph, son of David, you may not fear to receive your wife Mary, for that which was begotten in her is of [the] Holy Spirit, 21 and she will bring forth a Son, and you will call His Name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins."
