ASV

He Īnoi te Rīpenetā

1 Huihui, āe , huihui i a koutou,

e iwi kāhore nei he whakamā;

2 i te mea kīanō te ture i whai hua,

ā, kīanō i pahemo te ānō he pāpapa,

i te mea kīanō i tae iho ki a koutou

te mura o Ihowā riri,

i te mea kīanō i tae iho ki a koutou

te o Ihowā riri.

3 Rapua a Ihowā, e te hunga māhaki katoa o te whenua,

e te hunga e mahi ana i tāna i whakarite ai;

rapua te tika, rapua te tikanga māhaki;

me kāhore koutou e piri i te o Ihowā riri.

4 te mea tērā a Kaha ka mahue,

ka ururuatia a Ahakerono;

ka peia atu a Aharoro i te poutūmārōtanga,

ka hūtia atu hoki a Ekerono.

5 Auē te mate ngā tāngata i ngā tahatika o te moana,

te iwi o ngā Kereti!

Kua kōrero a Ihowā i te mōu,

e Kanaana, e te whenua o ngā Pirihitini;

ka ngaro koe i ahau, kāhore he tangata hei noho.

6 Ā, ka waiho te tahatika o te moana hei haerenga hipi,

me ngā whare ngā hēpara,

me ngā taiepa ngā hipi.

7 Ka waiho anō te tahatika

ngā toenga o te whare o Hūrā,

ka whāngaia e rātou ā rātou hipi ki reira.

Ka takoto i te ahiahi

i roto i ngā whare o Ahakerono;

te mea ka tirotirohia rātou e Ihowā, e rātou Atua,

ā, ka whakahokia mai e ia i te whakarau.

8 "Kua rongo ahau i Moapa tāwai,

i ngā taunu a ngā tama a Āmona,

i rātou tāwai ki tāku iwi,

i rātou whakatete rātou rohe kia nui.

9 reira e ora ana ahau,"

e ai Ihowā o ngā mano, te Atua o Īharaira,

"he pono ka rite a Moapa ki Horoma,

ngā tama a Āmona ki Komora,

hei tupuranga ongaonga, hei rua tote,

hei ururua, ā ake ake.

ngā toenga o tāku iwi rātou e pāhua,

hei kāinga tupu rātou ngā mōrehu o āku tāngata."

10 Hei utu tēnei ki a rātou rātou whakapehapeha,

rātou tāwai, rātou whakakake

ki te iwi o Ihowā o ngā mano.

11 , ka wehingia a Ihowā e rātou,

te mea ka hīroki i a ia ngā atua katoa o te whenua;

ā, ka koropiko ngā tāngata katoa ki a ia

i tōna wāhi, i tōna wāhi,

arā ngā motu katoa o ngā tauiwi.

12 "Ko koutou anō, e ngā Etiopiana,

ka werohia koutou ki tāku hoari."

13 Ka totoro anō tōna ringa ki te raki,

ā, ka ngaro a Ahiria i a ia;

ā, ka meinga a Ninewe hei ururua,

ka maroke, ka pērā i te koraha.

14 Ā, ka tāpapa ngā kāhui ki waenganui ōna,

ngā kīrehe katoa o ngā tauiwi.

Ka noho te kawau rāua ko te matuku

ki ōna puku whakapaipai;

ka puaki rāua reo i ngā matapihi;

ka ururuatia ngā kūwaha;

te mea ka tahanga ngā mea hīta i a ia.

15 Ko te whakamanamana tēnei

i noho wehikore nei,

i mea nei i roto i tōna ngākau,

"Ko ahau tēnei, kāhore atu hoki, ko ahau anake."

Anō tōna ururuatanga,

he tāpapatanga kīrehe!

Ko te hunga katoa e tika ana

reira ka atu, ka tawhi i tōna ringa.

1 Gather yourselves together, yea, gather together, O nation that hath no shame; 2 before the decree bring forth, before the day pass as the chaff, before the fierce anger of Jehovah come upon you, before the day of Jehovah’s anger come upon you. 3 Seek ye Jehovah, all ye meek of the earth, that have kept his ordinances; seek righteousness, seek meekness: it may be ye will be hid in the day of Jehovah’s anger.

4 For Gaza shall be forsaken, and Ashkelon a desolation; they shall drive out Ashdod at noonday, and Ekron shall be rooted up. 5 Woe unto the inhabitants of the sea-coast, the nation of the Cherethites! The word of Jehovah is against you, O Canaan, the land of the Philistines; I will destroy thee, that there shall be no inhabitant. 6 And the sea-coast shall be pastures, with cottages for shepherds and folds for flocks. 7 And the coast shall be for the remnant of the house of Judah; they shall feed their flocks thereupon; in the houses of Ashkelon shall they lie down in the evening; for Jehovah their God will visit them, and bring back their captivity.

8 I have heard the reproach of Moab, and the revilings of the children of Ammon, wherewith they have reproached my people, and magnified themselves against their border. 9 Therefore as I live, saith Jehovah of hosts, the God of Israel, Surely Moab shall be as Sodom, and the children of Ammon as Gomorrah, a possession of nettles, and saltpits, and a perpetual desolation: the residue of my people shall make a prey of them, and the remnant of my nation shall inherit them. 10 This shall they have for their pride, because they have reproached and magnified themselves against the people of Jehovah of hosts. 11 Jehovah will be terrible unto them; for he will famish all the gods of the earth; and men shall worship him, every one from his place, even all the isles of the nations.

12 Ye Ethiopians also, ye shall be slain by my sword. 13 And he will stretch out his hand against the north, and destroy Assyria, and will make Nineveh a desolation, and dry like the wilderness. 14 And herds shall lie down in the midst of her, all the beasts of the nations: both the pelican and the porcupine shall lodge in the capitals thereof; their voice shall sing in the windows; desolation shall be in the thresholds: for he hath laid bare the cedar-work. 15 This is the joyous city that dwelt carelessly, that said in her heart, I am, and there is none besides me: how is she become a desolation, a place for beasts to lie down in! every one that passeth by her shall hiss, and wag his hand.
