35 "Your brother," he said, "came here falsely and took your blessing."
36 Esau said, "Not for nothing was he named Jacob, the Heel. Twice now he’s tricked me: first he took my birthright and now he’s taken my blessing."
He begged, "Haven’t you kept back any blessing for me?"
41 Esau seethed in anger against Jacob because of the blessing his father had given him; he brooded, "The time for mourning my father’s death is close. And then I’ll kill my brother Jacob."
35 And he said, Thy brother came with subtilty, and hath taken away thy blessing. 36 And he said, Is not he rightly named Jacob? for he hath supplanted me these two times: he took away my birthright; and, behold, now he hath taken away my blessing. And he said, Hast thou not reserved a blessing for me?27.36 Jacob: that is, A supplanter
41 And Esau hated Jacob because of the blessing wherewith his father blessed him: and Esau said in his heart, The days of mourning for my father are at hand; then will I slay my brother Jacob.

36 Esau said, "Isn’t he rightly named Jacob27:36 Jacob means he grasps the heel, a Hebrew idiom for he takes advantage of or he deceives.? This is the second time he has taken advantage of me: He took my birthright, and now he’s taken my blessing!" Then he asked, "Haven’t you reserved any blessing for me?"
41 Esau held a grudge against Jacob because of the blessing his father had given him. He said to himself, "The days of mourning for my father are near; then I will kill my brother Jacob."

36 Esau exclaimed, "No wonder his name is Jacob, for now he has cheated me twice.27:36 Jacob sounds like the Hebrew words for "heel" and "deceiver." First he took my rights as the firstborn, and now he has stolen my blessing. Oh, haven’t you saved even one blessing for me?"
41 From that time on, Esau hated Jacob because their father had given Jacob the blessing. And Esau began to scheme: "I will soon be mourning my father’s death. Then I will kill my brother, Jacob."

And again he said to his father: Hast thou not reserved me also a blessing? 41 Esau therefore always hated Jacob for the blessing wherewith his father had blessed him: and he said in his heart: The days will come of the mourning of my father, and I will kill my brother Jacob.
