1 O Senhor disse a Moisés:

2 — Esta será a lei a respeito do leproso no dia da sua purificação: o leproso será levado ao sacerdote; 3 este sairá fora do arraial e o examinará. Se a praga da lepra estiver curada, 4 o sacerdote mandará trazer, para aquele que se houver de purificar, duas aves vivas e puras, madeira de cedro, pano escarlate e hissopo. 5 O sacerdote mandará que se mate uma das aves num vaso de barro, sobre águas correntes. 6 Depois o sacerdote pegará a ave que ficou viva, a madeira de cedro, o pano escarlate e o hissopo e os molhará no sangue da ave que foi morta sobre as águas correntes. 7 E aspergirá sete vezes sobre aquele que há de purificar-se da lepra; então o declarará puro e soltará a ave que ficou viva para o campo aberto. 8 Aquele que tem de se purificar lavará as suas roupas, rapará todos os seus pelos, se banhará com água e estará puro; depois, entrará no arraial, porém ficará fora da sua tenda por sete dias. 9 No sétimo dia, rapará todo o seu cabelo, a cabeça, a barba e as sobrancelhas; rapará todos os pelos, lavará as suas roupas, banhará o corpo com água e estará puro.

10 — No oitavo dia, pegará dois cordeiros sem defeito, uma cordeira sem defeito, de um ano, seis litros da melhor farinha, para oferta de cereais, amassada com azeite, e separadamente um copo de azeite. 11 O sacerdote que faz a purificação apresentará o homem que houver de purificar-se e essas coisas diante do Senhor, à porta da tenda do encontro; 12 pegará um dos cordeiros e o oferecerá por oferta pela culpa juntamente com o copo de azeite; e os moverá por oferta movida diante do Senhor. 13 Depois matará o cordeiro no lugar onde são mortos os animais da oferta pelo pecado e do holocausto, no lugar santo; porque tanto a oferta pela culpa como a oferta pelo pecado são para o sacerdote; são coisas santíssimas. 14 O sacerdote pegará um pouco do sangue da oferta pela culpa e o porá sobre a ponta da orelha direita daquele que tem de purificar-se, sobre o polegar da sua mão direita e sobre o polegar do seu pé direito. 15 Também pegará o copo de azeite e derramará um pouco na palma da própria mão esquerda. 16 Molhará o dedo direito no azeite que está na mão esquerda e daquele azeite aspergirá, com o dedo, sete vezes diante do Senhor; 17 do restante do azeite que está na mão, o sacerdote porá um pouco sobre a ponta da orelha direita daquele que tem de purificar-se, sobre o polegar da sua mão direita e sobre o polegar do seu pé direito, em cima do sangue da oferta pela culpa. 18 O restante do azeite que está na mão do sacerdote ele porá sobre a cabeça daquele que tem de purificar-se; assim, o sacerdote fará expiação por ele diante do Senhor.

19 — Então o sacerdote fará a oferta pelo pecado e fará expiação por aquele que tem de purificar-se da sua impureza. Depois, matará o animal do holocausto 20 e o oferecerá com a oferta de cereais sobre o altar; assim, o sacerdote fará expiação pelo homem, e este ficará puro. 21 Se for pobre, e as suas posses não lhe permitirem trazer tanto, pegará um cordeiro para oferta pela culpa como oferta movida, para fazer expiação por ele, e dois litros da melhor farinha, amassada com azeite, para oferta de cereais, um copo de azeite, 22 duas rolinhas ou dois pombinhos, segundo as suas posses, dos quais um será para oferta pelo pecado, e o outro, para holocausto. 23 No oitavo dia da sua purificação, trará isso ao sacerdote, à porta da tenda do encontro, diante do Senhor. 24 O sacerdote pegará o cordeiro da oferta pela culpa e o copo de azeite e os moverá por oferta movida diante do Senhor. 25 Então o sacerdote matará o cordeiro da oferta pela culpa, pegará um pouco do sangue da oferta pela culpa e o porá sobre a ponta da orelha direita daquele que tem de purificar-se, sobre o polegar da sua mão direita e sobre o polegar do seu pé direito. 26 Derramará um pouco do azeite na palma da própria mão esquerda; 27 e, com o dedo direito, aspergirá do azeite que está na sua mão esquerda sete vezes diante do Senhor. 28 Então, do azeite que está na sua mão, o sacerdote porá um pouco na ponta da orelha direita daquele que tem de purificar-se, no polegar da sua mão direita e no polegar do seu pé direito, por cima do sangue da oferta pela culpa. 29 O restante do azeite que está na mão do sacerdote ele porá sobre a cabeça do que tem de purificar-se, para fazer expiação por ele diante do Senhor. 30 Oferecerá uma das rolinhas ou um dos pombinhos, segundo as suas posses; 31 será um para oferta pelo pecado, e o outro, para holocausto, além da oferta de cereais; e, assim, o sacerdote fará expiação por aquele que tem de purificar-se diante do Senhor. 32 Esta é a lei a respeito daquele em quem está a praga da lepra, cujas posses não lhe permitem o que é preciso para a sua purificação.

33 O Senhor disse a Moisés e a Arão:

34 — Quando vocês entrarem na terra de Canaã, que lhes darei por herança, e eu enviar a praga do mofo a alguma casa da terra que vocês passarão a possuir, 35 o dono da casa fará saber ao sacerdote, dizendo: "Parece-me que existe algo como que uma praga em minha casa." 36 O sacerdote ordenará que se esvazie a casa, antes que venha para examinar a praga, para que não seja contaminado tudo o que está na casa. Depois o sacerdote virá para examinar a casa 37 e examinará a praga. Se, nas paredes da casa, há manchas esverdeadas ou avermelhadas e parecem mais fundas que a parede, 38 então o sacerdote sairá da casa e a fechará por sete dias. 39 No sétimo dia, o sacerdote voltará e examinará a casa. Se notar que a praga se alastrou nas paredes da casa, 40 ele ordenará que arranquem as pedras em que estiver a praga e que as lancem fora da cidade num lugar impuro; 41 e fará raspar a casa por dentro, ao redor, e o pó que houverem raspado lançarão, fora da cidade, num lugar impuro. 42 Depois pegarão outras pedras e as colocarão no lugar das primeiras; e rebocarão a casa com outra argamassa.

43 — Se a praga tornar a brotar na casa, depois de arrancadas as pedras, raspada a casa e de novo rebocada, 44 então o sacerdote entrará e examinará. Se a praga tiver se alastrado pela casa, há nela mofo que se espalha; está impura. 45 O sacerdote mandará derrubar a casa, as pedras e a sua madeira, bem como todo o reboco da casa; e se levará tudo para fora da cidade, a um lugar impuro. 46 Aquele que entrar na casa, enquanto está fechada, ficará impuro até a tarde. 47 Também o que se deitar na casa terá de lavar as suas roupas; e quem nela comer terá de lavar as suas roupas.

48 — Porém, se o sacerdote entrar na casa, e, examinando, verificar que a praga não se alastrou pela casa, depois que ela foi rebocada, o sacerdote a declarará pura, porque a praga está curada. 49 Para purificar a casa, pegará duas aves, madeira de cedro, pano escarlate e hissopo, 50 e matará uma ave num vaso de barro sobre águas correntes. 51 Depois, pegará a madeira de cedro, o hissopo, o pano escarlate e a ave que ficou viva, os molhará no sangue da ave que foi morta e nas águas correntes e aspergirá a casa sete vezes. 52 Assim, purificará aquela casa com o sangue da ave, com as águas correntes, com a ave que ficou viva, com a madeira de cedro, com o hissopo e com o pano escarlate. 53 Então soltará a ave que ficou viva para fora da cidade, para o campo aberto; assim, fará expiação pela casa, e ficará pura.

54 Esta é a lei para todos os tipos de praga de lepra, de micose, 55 de mofo das roupas e das casas, 56 da inchação, da pústula e das manchas lustrosas, 57 para ensinar quando alguma coisa é pura ou impura. Esta é a lei a respeito da lepra.

1 And LORD spoke to Moses, saying,2 This shall be the law of the man with a leprous disease in the day of his cleansing: He shall be brought to the priest,3 and the priest shall go forth out of the camp. And the priest shall look, and, behold, if a leprous disease be healed in the man with a leprous disease,4 then the priest shall command to take two living clean birds, and cedar wood, and scarlet, and hyssop for him who is to be cleansed.5 And the priest shall command to kill one of the birds in an earthen vessel over running water.6 As for the living bird, he shall take it, and the cedar wood, and the scarlet, and the hyssop, and shall dip them and the living bird in the blood of the bird that was killed over the running water.7 And he shall sprinkle seven times upon him who is to be cleansed from the leprous disease, and shall pronounce him clean, and shall let the living bird go into the open field.8 And he who is to be cleansed shall wash his clothes, and shave off all his hair, and bathe himself in water, and he shall be clean. And after that he shall come into the camp, but shall dwell outside his tent seven days.9 And it shall be on the seventh day, that he shall shave all his hair off his head and his beard and his eyebrows, even all his hair he shall shave off. And he shall wash his clothes, and he shall bathe his flesh in water, and he sh10 And on the eighth day he shall take two he-lambs without blemish, and one ewe-lamb a year old without blemish, and three tenth parts [of an ephah] of fine flour for a meal-offering, mingled with oil, and one log of oil.11 And the priest who cleanses him shall set the man who is to be cleansed, and those things, before LORD, at the door of the tent of meeting.12 And the priest shall take one of the he-lambs, and offer him for a trespass-offering, and the log of oil, and wave them for a wave-offering before LORD.13 And he shall kill the he-lamb in the place where they kill the sin-offering and the burnt-offering, in the place of the sanctuary. For as the sin-offering is the priest's, so is the trespass-offering; it is most holy.14 And the priest shall take of the blood of the trespass-offering, and the priest shall put it upon the tip of the right ear of him who is to be cleansed, and upon the thumb of his right hand, and upon the great toe of his right foot15 And the priest shall take of the log of oil, and pour it into the palm of his own left hand.16 And the priest shall dip his right finger in the oil that is in his left hand, and shall sprinkle of the oil with his finger seven times before LORD.17 And of the rest of the oil that is in his hand the priest shall put upon the tip of the right ear of him who is to be cleansed, and upon the thumb of his right hand, and upon the great toe of his right foot, upon the blood of the t18 And the rest of the oil that is in the priest's hand he shall put upon the head of him who is to be cleansed, and the priest shall make atonement for him before LORD.19 And the priest shall offer the sin-offering, and make atonement for him who is to be cleansed because of his uncleanness, and afterward he shall kill the burnt-offering.20 And the priest shall offer the burnt-offering and the meal-offering upon the altar, and the priest shall make atonement for him, and he shall be clean.21 And if he is poor, and cannot get so much, then he shall take one he-lamb for a trespass-offering to be waved, to make atonement for him, and one tenth part [of an ephah] of fine flour mingled with oil for a meal-offering, and a lo22 and two turtle-doves, or two young pigeons, such as he is able to get, and the one shall be a sin-offering, and the other a burnt-offering.23 And on the eighth day he shall bring them for his cleansing to the priest, to the door of the tent of meeting, before LORD.24 And the priest shall take the lamb of the trespass-offering, and the log of oil, and the priest shall wave them for a wave-offering before LORD.25 And he shall kill the lamb of the trespass-offering. And the priest shall take of the blood of the trespass-offering, and put it upon the tip of the right ear of him who is to be cleansed, and upon the thumb of his right hand, and26 And the priest shall pour of the oil into the palm of his own left hand.27 And the priest shall sprinkle with his right finger some of the oil that is in his left hand seven times before LORD.28 And the priest shall put of the oil that is in his hand upon the tip of the right ear of him who is to be cleansed, and upon the thumb of his right hand, and upon the great toe of his right foot, upon the place of the blood of the29 And the rest of the oil that is in the priest's hand he shall put upon the head of him who is to be cleansed, to make atonement for him before LORD.30 And he shall offer one of the turtle-doves, or of the young pigeons, such as he is able to get,31 even such as he is able to get, the one for a sin-offering, and the other for a burnt-offering, with the meal-offering, and the priest shall make atonement for him who is to be cleansed before LORD.32 This is the law of him in whom is a leprous disease, who is not able to get [what pertains] to his cleansing.33 And LORD spoke to Moses and to Aaron, saying,34 When ye have come into the land of Canaan, which I give to you for a possession, and I put a leprous disease in a house of the land of your possession,35 then he who owns the house shall come and tell the priest, saying, There seems to me to be as it were a disease in the house.36 And the priest shall command that they empty the house before the priest goes in to see the disease, that all that is in the house not be made unclean. And afterward the priest shall go in to see the house,37 and he shall look on the disease. And, behold, if the disease is in the walls of the house with hollow streaks, greenish or reddish, and the appearance of it is lower than the wall [surface],38 then the priest shall go out of the house to the door of the house, and shut up the house seven days.39 And the priest shall come again the seventh day, and shall look. And, behold, if the disease be spread in the walls of the house,40 then the priest shall command that they take out the stones in which the disease is, and cast them into an unclean place outside the city.41 And he shall cause the house to be scraped inside round about, and they shall pour out the mortar, that they scrape off, outside the city into an unclean place.42 And they shall take other stones, and put them in the place of those stones. And he shall take other mortar, and shall plaster the house.43 And if the disease comes again, and breaks out in the house, after he has taken out the stones, and after he has scraped the house, and after it is plastered,44 then the priest shall come in and look. And, behold, if the disease be spread in the house, it is a fretting leprosy in the house; it is unclean.45 And he shall break down the house, the stones of it, and the timber of it, and all the mortar of the house, and he shall carry them forth out of the city into an unclean place.46 Moreover he who goes into the house all the while that it is shut up shall be unclean until the evening.47 And he who lays in the house shall wash his clothes. And he who eats in the house shall wash his clothes.48 And if the priest shall come in, and look, and, behold, the disease has not spread in the house after the house was plastered, then the priest shall pronounce the house clean, because the disease is healed.49 And he shall take two birds, and cedar wood, and scarlet, and hyssop to cleanse the house.50 And he shall kill one of the birds in an earthen vessel over running water.51 And he shall take the cedar wood, and the hyssop, and the scarlet, and the living bird, and dip them in the blood of the slain bird, and in the running water, and sprinkle the house seven times.52 And he shall cleanse the house with the blood of the bird, and with the running water, and with the living bird, and with the cedar wood, and with the hyssop, and with the scarlet,53 but he shall let the living bird go out of the city into the open field. So he shall make atonement for the house, and it shall be clean.54 This is the law for all manner of a leprous disease, and for a scall,55 and for a leprous disease of a garment, and for a house,56 and for a rising, and for a scab, and for a bright spot,57 to teach when it is unclean, and when it is clean. This is the law of a leprous disease.
