1 Os que colocaram o seu selo foram: Neemias, o governador, filho de Hacalias, e Zedequias, 2 Seraías, Azarias, Jeremias, 3 Pasur, Amarias, Malquias, 4 Hatus, Sebanias, Maluque, 5 Harim, Meremote, Obadias, 6 Daniel, Ginetom, Baruque, 7 Mesulão, Abias, Miamim, 8 Maazias, Bilgai, Semaías. Estes eram os sacerdotes.

9 E os levitas: Jesua, filho de Azanias, Binui, dos filhos de Henadade, Cadmiel 10 e os irmãos deles: Sebanias, Hodias, Quelita, Pelaías, Hanã, 11 Mica, Reobe, Hasabias, 12 Zacur, Serebias, Sebanias, 13 Hodias, Bani e Beninu.

14 Os chefes do povo: Parós, Paate-Moabe, Elão, Zatu, Bani, 15 Buni, Azgade, Bebai, 16 Adonias, Bigvai, Adim, 17 Ater, Ezequias, Azur, 18 Hodias, Hasum, Besai, 19 Harife, Anatote, Nebai, 20 Magpias, Mesulão, Hezir, 21 Mesezabel, Zadoque, Jadua, 22 Pelatias, Hanã, Anaías, 23 Oseias, Hananias, Hassube, 24 Haloés, Pilha, Sobeque, 25 Reum, Hasabna, Maaseias, 26 Aías, Hanã, Anã, 27 Maluque, Harim e Baaná.

28 O resto do povo, os sacerdotes, os levitas, os porteiros, os cantores, os servidores do templo e todos os que tinham se separado dos povos de outras terras para seguirem a Lei de Deus, com as suas mulheres, os seus filhos e as suas filhas, todos os que tinham saber e entendimento, 29 firmemente aderiram aos seus compatriotas, os nobres, e prometeram, com juramento e sob pena de maldição, que andariam na Lei de Deus, que foi dada por meio de Moisés, servo de Deus; que guardariam e cumpririam todos os mandamentos do Senhor, nosso Deus, e os seus juízos e os seus estatutos; 30 que não dariam as suas filhas em casamento aos povos da terra, nem escolheriam as filhas deles para casar com os seus filhos; 31 que, se os povos da terra trouxessem qualquer mercadoria ou qualquer cereal para vender no dia de sábado, nada comprariam deles no sábado nem em dias santificados; e que, no sétimo ano, abririam mão da colheita e de toda e qualquer cobrança.

32 Também assumimos a obrigação de contribuir anualmente com quatro gramas de prata para o serviço do templo do nosso Deus, 33 para os pães da proposição, para a oferta contínua de cereais, para o holocausto contínuo dos sábados e das Festas da Lua Nova, para as festas fixas, para as coisas sagradas, para as ofertas pelo pecado, para fazer expiação por Israel e para toda a obra do templo do nosso Deus.

34 Nós, os sacerdotes, os levitas e o povo lançamos sortes a respeito da oferta da lenha que se havia de trazer ao templo do nosso Deus, segundo as nossas famílias, em tempos determinados, de ano em ano, para queimar sobre o altar do Senhor, nosso Deus, como está escrito na Lei. 35 Também nos comprometemos a trazer anualmente à Casa do Senhor as primícias da nossa terra e todas as primícias de todas as árvores frutíferas, 36 bem como os primogênitos dos nossos filhos e os do nosso gado, como está escrito na Lei.

Assumimos a obrigação de trazer ao templo do nosso Deus, aos sacerdotes que ministram nele, os primogênitos das nossas manadas e das nossas ovelhas, 37 e de trazer aos sacerdotes, aos depósitos do templo do nosso Deus, as primícias da nossa massa, as nossas ofertas, o fruto de toda árvore, o vinho e o azeite.

Também nos comprometemos a trazer os dízimos da nossa terra aos levitas, pois a eles cumpre receber os dízimos em todas as cidades onde há lavoura. 38 O sacerdote, filho de Arão, estaria com os levitas quando estes recebessem os dízimos, e os levitas trariam os dízimos dos dízimos ao templo do nosso Deus, aos depósitos da casa do tesouro. 39 Porque os filhos de Israel e os filhos de Levi devem trazer as ofertas do cereal, do vinho e do azeite para aqueles depósitos, porque ali estão os utensílios do santuário, bem como os sacerdotes que ministram, e também os porteiros e os cantores.

Não abandonaremos o templo do nosso Deus.

1 Now those who put down their names were Nehemiah the Tirshatha Governor, the son of Hacaliah, and Zedekiah,2 Seraiah, Azariah, Jeremiah,3 Pashhur, Amariah, Malchijah,4 Hattush, Shebaniah, Malluch,5 Harim, Meremoth, Obadiah,6 Daniel, Ginnethon, Baruch,7 Meshullam, Abijah, Mijamin,8 Maaziah, Bilgai, Shemaiah; these were the priests.9 And the Levites: by name, Jeshua, the son of Azaniah, Binnui, of the sons of Henadad, Kadmiel,10 And their brothers, Shebaniah, Hodiah, Kelita, Pelaiah, Hanan,11 Mica, Rehob, Hashabiah,12 Zaccur, Sherebiah, Shebaniah,13 Hodiah, Bani, Beninu.14 The chiefs of the people: Parosh, Pahath-moab, Elam, Zattu, Bani,15 Bunni, Azgad, Bebai,16 Adonijah, Bigvai, Adin,17 Ater, Hezekiah, Azzur,18 Hodiah, Hashum, Bezai,19 Hariph, Anathoth, Nobai,20 Magpiash, Meshullam, Hezir,21 Meshezabel, Zadok, Jaddua,22 Pelatiah, Hanan, Anaiah,23 Hoshea, Hananiah, Hasshub,24 Hallohesh, Pilha, Shobek,25 Rehum, Hashabnah, Maaseiah,26 And Ahiah, Hanan, Anan,27 Malluch, Harim, Baanah.28 And the rest of the people, the priests, the Levites, the gate keepers, the music-makers, the Nethinim, and all those who made themselves separate from the peoples of the lands, to keep the Law of God, their wives, their sons, and their daughters, everyone who had knowledge and wisdom;29 They were united with their brothers, their rulers, and put themselves under a curse and an oath, to keep their steps in the way of God's law, which was given by Moses, the servant of God, and to keep and do all the orders of the Jehovah, our Lord, and his decisions and his rules.30 That way we would not give our daughters to the peoples of the lands, or take their daughters for our sons;31 If the peoples of the lands come to do trade in goods or food on the Sabbath day, that we would do no trade with them on the Sabbath or on a holy day. In the seventh year we would take no payment from any debtor.32 We made rules for ourselves, taxing ourselves a third of a shekel every year for the upkeep of the House of our God.33 For the holy bread, and for the regular meal offering and the regular burned offering on the Sabbaths and at the new moon and the fixed feasts, and for the sin-offerings to take away the sin of Israel, and for all the work of the house of our God.34 And we, the priests and the Levites and the people, made selection, by the decision of Jehovah, of those who were to take the wood offering into the house of God, by families at the regular times, year by year, to be burned on the altar of Jehovah our God, as it is recorded in the law;35 To take the first fruits of our land, and the first fruits of every sort of tree, year by year, into the house of Jehovah.36 As well as the first of our sons and of our cattle, as it is recorded in the law. The first lambs of our herds and of our flocks, which are to be taken to the house of our God, to the priests who are servants in the house of our God:37 That we would take the first of our rough meal, and our lifted offerings, and the fruit of every sort of tree, and wine and oil, to the priests, to the rooms of the house of our God. The tenth of the produce of our land to the Levites for the Levites, take a tenth in all the towns of our ploughed land.38 The priest, the son of Aaron, is to be with the Levites, when the Levites take the tenths. The Levites are to take a tenth of the tenths into the house of our God, to the rooms, into the storehouse.39 The children of Israel and the children of Levi are to take the lifted offering of the grain and wine and oil into the rooms where the vessels of the holy place are. This is together with the priests and the gatekeepers and the makers of music. We will not give up caring for the House of our God.
