15 If it seems evil to you to serve the Lord, choose this day whom you will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were beyond the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord."
6 Children's children are the crown of old men;the glory of children are their parents.
17 But the Lord's loving kindness is from everlasting to everlasting with those who fear him,his righteousness to children's children;
18 to those who keep his covenant,to those who remember to obey his precepts.
8 My son, listen to your father's instruction,and do not forsake your mother's teaching:
9 for they will be a garland to grace your head,and chains around your neck.
9 Live joyfully with the wife whom you love all the days of your life of vanity, which he has given you under the sun, all your days of vanity: for that is your portion in life, and in your labor in which you labor under the sun.
27 Prepare your work outside,and get your fields ready.Afterwards, build your house.
28 God blessed them. God said to them, "Be fruitful, multiply, fill the earth, and subdue it. Have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the sky, and over every living thing that moves on the earth."
17 A friend loves at all times;and a brother is born for adversity.
4 You fathers, do not provoke your children to wrath, but nurture them in the discipline and instruction of the Lord.
6 Train up a child in the way he should go,and when he is old he will not depart from it.
19 'Honor your father and mother.' And, 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.'"
24 A man of many companions may be ruined,but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.
1 The proverbs of Solomon.A wise son makes a glad father;but a foolish son brings grief to his mother.
12 "Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long in the land which the Lord your God gives you.
10 Now I beg you, brothers, through the name of our Lord, Jesus Christ, that you all speak the same thing and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be perfected together in the same mind and in the same judgment.
6 These words, which I command you this day, shall be on your heart;
7 and you shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise up.
32 And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you.
4 But if any widow has children or grandchildren, let them learn first to show piety towards their own family, and to repay their parents, for this is acceptable in the sight of God.
10 Do not forsake your friend and your father's friend.Do not go to your brother's house in the day of your disaster:better is a neighbor who is near than a distant brother.
20 If a man says, "I love God," and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen, cannot love God whom he has not seen.
27 He who is greedy for gain troubles his own house,but he who hates bribes will live.
20 My son, keep your father's commandment,and do not forsake your mother's teaching.
2 Beloved, now we are children of God, and it is not yet revealed what we will be. We know that, when he is revealed, we will be like him; for we will see him just as he is.
3 Everyone who has this hope set on him purifies himself, even as he is pure.
13 If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him?"
24 Therefore a man will leave his father and his mother, and will join with his wife, and they will be one flesh.
8 But if anyone does not provide for his own, and especially his own household, he has denied the faith, and is worse than an unbeliever.
15 My son, if your heart is wise,then my heart will be glad, even mine:
31 They said, "Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household."
3 Behold, children are a heritage of the Lord.The fruit of the womb is his reward.
4 As arrows in the hand of a mighty man,so are the children of youth.
5 Happy is the man who has his quiver full of them.They won't be disappointed when they speak with their enemies in the gate.
57 May the Lord our God be with us, as he was with our fathers. Let him not leave us, nor forsake us;
29 He who troubles his own house shall inherit the wind.The foolish shall be servant to the wise of heart.
1 Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right.
2 "Honor your father and mother," which is the first commandment with a promise:
24 The father of the righteous has great joy.Whoever fathers a wise child delights in him.
15 "Can a woman forget her nursing child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? Yes, these may forget, yet I will not forget you!
16 Behold, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands; your walls are continually before me.
1 A Song of Ascents. By David.See how good and how pleasant it isfor brothers to live together in unity!
33 Nevertheless each of you must also love his own wife even as himself; and let the wife see that she respects her husband.
6 But from the beginning of the creation, he made them male and female.
7 For this cause a man will leave his father and mother, and will join to his wife,
8 and the two will become one flesh, so that they are no longer two, but one flesh.
9 What therefore God has joined together, let no man separate."
