4You have been a refuge for the poor,a refuge for the needy in their distress,a shelter from the stormand a shade from the heat.For the breath of the ruthlessis like a storm driving against a wall

8he will swallow up death forever.The Sovereign Lord will wipe away the tearsfrom all faces;he will remove his people’s disgracefrom all the earth.The Lord has spoken.

9In that day they will say,"Surely this is our God;we trusted in him, and he saved us.This is the Lord, we trusted in him;let us rejoice and be glad in his salvation."

2Let the redeemed of the Lord tell their story—those he redeemed from the hand of the foe,

22Let them sacrifice thank offeringsand tell of his works with songs of joy.

7Is it not to share your food with the hungryand to provide the poor wanderer with shelter—when you see the naked, to clothe them,and not to turn away from your own flesh and blood?

11The Lord will guide you always;he will satisfy your needs in a sun-scorched landand will strengthen your frame.You will be like a well-watered garden,like a spring whose waters never fail.

14then you will find your joy in the Lord,and I will cause you to ride in triumph on the heights of the landand to feast on the inheritance of your father Jacob."The mouth of the Lord has spoken.

15The Lord will dry upthe gulf of the Egyptian sea;with a scorching wind he will sweep his handover the Euphrates River.He will break it up into seven streamsso that anyone can cross over in sandals.

16Bind up this testimony of warningand seal up God’s instruction among my disciples.

17I will wait for the Lord,who is hiding his face from the descendants of Jacob.I will put my trust in him.

20Consult God’s instruction and the testimony of warning. If anyone does not speak according to this word, they have no light of dawn.

1Vindicate me, my God,and plead my causeagainst an unfaithful nation.Rescue me from those who aredeceitful and wicked.

14In the evening, sudden terror!Before the morning, they are gone!This is the portion of those who loot us,the lot of those who plunder us.

3He put a new song in my mouth,a hymn of praise to our God.Many will see and fear the Lordand put their trust in him.

10I do not hide your righteousness in my heart;I speak of your faithfulness and your saving help.I do not conceal your love and your faithfulnessfrom the great assembly.

17But as for me, I am poor and needy;may the Lord think of me.You are my help and my deliverer;you are my God, do not delay.
