30Hear the supplication of your servant and of your people Israel when they pray toward this place. Hear from heaven, your dwelling place, and when you hear, forgive.
36then hear from heaven and forgive the sin of your servants, your people Israel. Teach them the right way to live, and send rain on the land you gave your people for an inheritance.
56"Praise be to the Lord, who has given rest to his people Israel just as he promised. Not one word has failed of all the good promises he gave through his servant Moses.
1Return, Israel, to the Lord your God.Your sins have been your downfall!
2Take words with youand return to the Lord.Say to him:"Forgive all our sinsand receive us graciously,that we may offer the fruit of our lips.14:2 Or offer our lips as sacrifices of bulls
6his young shoots will grow.His splendor will be like an olive tree,his fragrance like a cedar of Lebanon.
9He has saved us and called us to a holy life—not because of anything we have done but because of his own purpose and grace. This grace was given us in Christ Jesus before the beginning of time,
10but it has now been revealed through the appearing of our Savior, Christ Jesus, who has destroyed death and has brought life and immortality to light through the gospel.
14Guard the good deposit that was entrusted to you—guard it with the help of the Holy Spirit who lives in us.
1After this I heard what sounded like the roar of a great multitude in heaven shouting:"Hallelujah!Salvation and glory and power belong to our God,
2for true and just are his judgments.He has condemned the great prostitutewho corrupted the earth by her adulteries.He has avenged on her the blood of his servants."
20But the beast was captured, and with it the false prophet who had performed the signs on its behalf. With these signs he had deluded those who had received the mark of the beast and worshiped its image. The two of them were thrown alive into the fiery lake of burning sulfur.
9‘If calamity comes upon us, whether the sword of judgment, or plague or famine, we will stand in your presence before this temple that bears your Name and will cry out to you in our distress, and you will hear us and save us.’
17You will not have to fight this battle. Take up your positions; stand firm and see the deliverance the Lord will give you, Judah and Jerusalem. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged. Go out to face them tomorrow, and the Lord will be with you.’ "
26On the fourth day they assembled in the Valley of Berakah, where they praised the Lord. This is why it is called the Valley of Berakah20:26 Berakah means praise. to this day.

41"Now arise, Lord God, and come to your resting place,you and the ark of your might.May your priests, Lord God, be clothed with salvation,may your faithful people rejoice in your goodness.
1"Surely the day is coming; it will burn like a furnace. All the arrogant and every evildoer will be stubble, and the day that is coming will set them on fire," says the Lord Almighty. "Not a root or a branch will be left to them.
2But for you who revere my name, the sun of righteousness will rise with healing in its rays. And you will go out and frolic like well-fed calves.
4I brought you up out of Egyptand redeemed you from the land of slavery.I sent Moses to lead you,also Aaron and Miriam.
7Will the Lord be pleased with thousands of rams,with ten thousand rivers of olive oil?Shall I offer my firstborn for my transgression,the fruit of my body for the sin of my soul?
8He has shown you, O mortal, what is good.And what does the Lord require of you?To act justly and to love mercyand to walk humbly6:8 Or prudently with your God.
11filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ—to the glory and praise of God.
19for I know that through your prayers and God’s provision of the Spirit of Jesus Christ what has happened to me will turn out for my deliverance.1:19 Or vindication; or salvation
28without being frightened in any way by those who oppose you. This is a sign to them that they will be destroyed, but that you will be saved—and that by God.
17For it is better, if it is God’s will, to suffer for doing good than for doing evil.
20to those who were disobedient long ago when God waited patiently in the days of Noah while the ark was being built. In it only a few people, eight in all, were saved through water,
21and this water symbolizes baptism that now saves you also—not the removal of dirt from the body but the pledge of a clear conscience toward God.3:21 Or but an appeal to God for a clear conscience It saves you by the resurrection of Jesus Christ,
1For Zion’s sake I will not keep silent,for Jerusalem’s sake I will not remain quiet,till her vindication shines out like the dawn,her salvation like a blazing torch.
3You will be a crown of splendor in the Lord’s hand,a royal diadem in the hand of your God.
11The Lord has made proclamationto the ends of the earth:"Say to Daughter Zion,‘See, your Savior comes!See, his reward is with him,and his recompense accompanies him.’ "
1I speak the truth in Christ—I am not lying, my conscience confirms it through the Holy Spirit—
4the people of Israel. Theirs is the adoption to sonship; theirs the divine glory, the covenants, the receiving of the law, the temple worship and the promises.
5Theirs are the patriarchs, and from them is traced the human ancestry of the Messiah, who is God over all, forever praised!9:5 Or Messiah, who is over all. God be forever praised! Or Messiah. God who is over all be forever praised! Amen.
