46 However, the spiritual is not first, but the natural, and afterward the spiritual. 47 *John 3:31The first man was of the earth, *Gen. 2:7; 3:19made of dust; the second Man is the Lord *John 3:13from heaven. 48 As was the man of dust, so also are those whoaremade of dust; *Phil. 3:20and as is the heavenly Man, so also are those whoare heavenly. 49 And *Gen. 5:3as we have borne the image of the man of dust, *Rom. 8:29; (2 Cor. 3:18; Phil. 3:21; 1 John 3:2)we shall also bear the image of the heavenly Man.
