21 And when he had consulted with the people, he appointed those who should sing to the Lord, *1 Chr. 16:29; Ps. 29:2; 90:17; 96:9; 110:3and who should praise the beauty of holiness, as they went out before the army and were saying:

*1 Chr. 16:34; Ps. 106:1; 136:1"Praise the Lord,

*1 Chr. 16:41; 2 Chr. 5:13For His mercy endures forever."

22 Now when they began to sing and to praise, *Judg. 7:22; 1 Sam. 14:20the Lord set ambushes against the people of Ammon, Moab, and Mount Seir, who had come against Judah; and they were defeated.
