Apocalipse 22

The River of Life

1 And he showed me *Ps. 46:4; Ezek. 47:1; (Zech. 14:8)a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding from the throne of God and of the Lamb. 2 *Ezek. 47:12In the middle of its street, and on either side of the river, was*Gen. 2:9; (Rev. 2:7; 22:14, 19)the tree of life, which bore twelve fruits, each tree yielding its fruit every month. The leaves of the tree were*Rev. 21:24for the healing of the nations. 3 And *Zech. 14:11there shall be no more curse, *Ezek. 48:35but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it, and His *Rev. 7:15servants shall serve Him. 4 *(Ps. 17:15; 42:2; Matt. 5:8; 1 Cor. 13:12; 1 John 3:2)They shall see His face, and *Rev. 14:1His name shallbe on their foreheads. 5 *Is. 60:19; Rev. 21:23There shall be no night there: They need no lamp nor *Rev. 7:15light of the sun, for *Ps. 36:9the Lord God gives them light. *Dan. 7:18, 27; Matt. 19:28; (Rom. 5:17); 2 Tim. 2:12; Rev. 20:4And they shall reign forever and ever.

The Time Is Near

6 Then he said to me, *Rev. 19:9"These words are faithful and true." And the Lord God of the holy prophets *Rev. 1:1sent His angel to show His servants the things which must *Heb. 10:37shortly take place.

7 *(Rev. 3:11)"Behold, I am coming quickly! *Rev. 1:3Blessed is he who keeps the words of the prophecy of this book."

8 Now I, John, saw and heard these things. And when I heard and saw, *Rev. 19:10I fell down to worship before the feet of the angel who showed me these things.

9 Then he said to me, *Rev. 19:10"See thatyoudo not dothat. For I am your fellow servant, and of your brethren the prophets, and of those who keep the words of this book. Worship God." 10 *Dan. 8:26; Rev. 10:4And he said to me, "Do not seal the words of the prophecy of this book, *Rev. 1:3for the time is at hand. 11 He who is unjust, let him be unjust still; he who is filthy, let him be filthy still; he who is righteous, let him be righteous still; he who is holy, let him be holy still."

Jesus Testifies to the Churches

12 "And behold, I am coming quickly, and *Is. 40:10; 62:11My reward is with Me, *Rev. 20:12to give to every one according to his work.13 *Is. 41:4I am the Alpha and the Omega, theBeginning and the End, the First and the Last."

14 *Dan. 12:12; (1 John 3:24)Blessed are those who do His commandments, that they may have the right *(Prov. 11:30); Rev. 2:7to the tree of life, *Rev. 21:27and may enter through the gates into the city. 15 But *Matt. 8:12; 1 Cor. 6:9; Gal. 5:19; Col. 3:6; Rev. 21:8outside are*Deut. 23:18; Matt. 7:6; Phil. 3:2dogs and sorcerers and sexually immoral and murderers and idolaters, and whoever loves and practices a lie.

16 *Rev. 1:1"I, Jesus, have sent My angel to testify to you these things in the churches. *2 Sam. 7:12; Is. 9:7; Jer. 23:5; Rev. 5:5I am the Root and the Offspring of David, *Num. 24:17; Luke 1:78; 2 Pet. 1:19the Bright and Morning Star."

17 And the Spirit and *(Rev. 21:2, 9)the bride say, "Come!" And let him who hears say, "Come!" *Is. 55:1; Rev. 21:6And let him who thirsts come. Whoever desires, let him take the water of life freely.

A Warning

18 For I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: *Deut. 4:2; 12:32; Prov. 30:6If anyone adds to these things, God will add to him the plagues that are written in this book; 19 and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, *Ex. 32:33God shall take away his part from the Book of Life, from the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

I Am Coming Quickly

20 He who testifies to these things says, "Surely I am coming quickly."

Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus!

21 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.
