Daniel 9

24 "Seventy weeks are determined

For your people and for your holy city,

To finish the transgression,

To make an end of sins,

*2 Chr. 29:24; (Is. 53:10); Acts 10:43; (Rom. 5:10); Heb. 9:12, 14To make reconciliation for iniquity,

*Rev. 14:6To bring in everlasting righteousness,

To seal up vision and prophecy,

*Ps. 45:7And to anoint the Most Holy.

25 "Know therefore and understand,

That from the going forth of the command

To restore and build Jerusalem

Until *Luke 2:1, 2; John 1:41; 4:25Messiah *Is. 55:4the Prince,

Thereshallbe seven weeks and sixty-two weeks;

The street shall be built again, and the wall,

Even in troublesome times.

26 "And after the sixty-two weeks

*(Is. 53:8); Matt. 27:50; Mark 9:12; 15:37; (Luke 23:46; 24:26); John 19:30; Acts 8:32Messiah shall be cut off, *(1 Pet. 2:21)but not for Himself;

And *Matt. 22:7the people of the prince who is to come

*Matt. 24:2; Mark 13:2; Luke 19:43, 44Shall destroy the city and the sanctuary.

The end of it shallbe with a flood,

And till the end of the war desolations are determined.

27 Then he shall confirm *Is. 42:6a covenant with *(Matt. 26:28)many for one week;

But in the middle of the week

He shall bring an end to sacrifice and offering.

And on the wing of abominations shall be one who makes desolate,

*Dan. 11:36Even until the consummation, which is determined,

Is poured out on the desolate."
