Children and Parents

1 Children, *Prov. 6:20; 23:22; Col. 3:20obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. 2 *Ex. 20:12; Deut. 5:16"Honor your father and mother," which is the first commandment with promise: 3 "that it may be well with you and you may live long on the earth."

4 And *Col. 3:21you, fathers, do not provoke your children to wrath, but *Gen. 18:19; Deut. 6:7; 11:19; Ps. 78:4; Prov. 22:6; 2 Tim. 3:15bring them up in the training and admonition of the Lord.
