21 Then *(Heb. 11:28)Moses called for all the *Ex. 3:16elders of Israel and said to them, *Ex. 12:3; Num. 9:4; Josh. 5:10; 2 Kin. 23:21; Ezra 6:20; Mark 14:12–16"Pick out and take lambs for yourselves according to your families, and kill the Passover lamb.22 *Heb. 11:28And you shall take a bunch of hyssop, dip it in the blood that is in the basin, and *Ex. 12:7strike the lintel and the two doorposts with the blood that is in the basin. And none of you shall go out of the door of his house until morning. 23 *Ex. 11:4; 12:12, 13For the Lord will pass through to strike the Egyptians; and when He sees the *Ex. 24:8blood on the lintel and on the two doorposts, the Lord will pass over the door and *Ezek. 9:6; Rev. 7:3; 9:4not allow *1 Cor. 10:10; Heb. 11:28the destroyer to come into your houses to strike you.
