5 Your lamb shall be *Lev. 22:18–21; 23:12; Mal. 1:8, 14; (Heb. 9:14; 1 Pet. 1:19)without blemish, a male of the first year. You may take it from the sheep or from the goats. 6 Now you shall keep it until the *Ex. 12:14, 17; Lev. 23:5; Num. 9:1–3, 11; 28:16; Deut. 16:1, 4, 6fourteenth day of the same month. Then the whole assembly of the congregation of Israel shall kill it at twilight. 7 And they shall take some of the blood and put it on the two doorposts and on the lintel of the houses where they eat it.
