Ezequiel 9

4 and the Lord said to him, "Go through the midst of the city, through the midst of Jerusalem, and put *Ex. 12:7, 13; Ezek. 9:6; (2 Cor. 1:22; 2 Tim. 2:19); Rev. 7:2, 3; 9:4; 14:1a mark on the foreheads of the men *Ps. 119:53, 136; Jer. 13:17; Ezek. 6:11; 21:6; 2 Cor. 12:21; 2 Pet. 2:8who sigh and cry over all the abominations that are done within it."

5 To the others He said in my hearing, "Go after him through the city and *Ezek. 7:9kill; *Ezek. 5:11do not let your eye spare, nor have any pity. 6 *2 Chr. 36:17Utterly slay old and young men, maidens and little children and women; but *Ex. 12:23; Rev. 9:4do not come near anyone on whom is the mark; and *Jer. 25:29; Amos 3:2; (Luke 12:42; 1 Pet. 4:17)begin at My sanctuary." *Ezek. 8:11, 12, 16So they began with the elders who were before the temple.
