The Race of Faith

1 Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, *Col. 3:8let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and *1 Cor. 9:24; Gal. 2:2; Heb. 10:39let us run *Rom. 12:12; Heb. 10:36with endurance the race that is set before us, 2 looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, *Luke 24:26who for the joy that was set before Him *Ps. 69:7, 19; Phil. 2:8; (Heb. 2:9)endured the cross, despising the shame, and *Ps. 110:1has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
