The Parable of the Pharisee and the Tax Collector

9 Also He spoke this parable to some *Prov. 30:12; Luke 10:29; 16:15who trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and despised others: 14 I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other; *Job 22:29; Matt. 23:12; Luke 14:11; (James 4:6; 1 Pet. 5:5)for everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted."
