Who Is the Greatest?

1 At *Mark 9:33–37; Luke 9:46–48; 22:24–27that time the disciples came to Jesus, saying, "Who then is greatest in the kingdom of heaven?"

2 Then Jesus called a little *Matt. 19:14; Mark 10:14; Luke 18:14–17child to Him, set him in the midst of them, 3 and said, "Assuredly, I say to you, *Ps. 131:2; Matt. 19:14; Mark 10:15; Luke 18:16; (1 Cor. 14:20; 1 Pet. 2:2)unless you are converted and become as little children, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven.4 *(Matt. 20:27; 23:11)Therefore whoever humbles himself as this little child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.
