1 On the day of Pentecost*2:1 The Festival of Pentecost came 50 days after Passover (when Jesus was crucified). all the believers were meeting together in one place. 4 And everyone present was filled with the Holy Spirit and began speaking in other languages,*2:4 Or in other tongues. as the Holy Spirit gave them this ability.
