52 Yeshua [God is Salvation] said to him: "Return your sword to its sheath, for all those who draw the sword will fall by the sword".
53 "Do you not understand that I can appeal to my Father and indeed there would be for me at once more than twelve legions of angels".
54 "But how will the Scripture be fulfilled? Because thus it is intended to be done".
52 Then said Jesus unto him, Put up again thy sword into his place: for all they that take the sword shall perish with the sword. 53 Thinkest thou that I cannot now pray to my Father, and he shall presently give me more than twelve legions of angels? 54 But how then shall the scriptures be fulfilled, that thus it must be?
52 "Put your sword back in its place," Jesus said to him, "for all who draw the sword will die by the sword.53 Do you think I cannot call on my Father, and he will at once put at my disposal more than twelve legions of angels?54 But how then would the Scriptures be fulfilled that say it must happen in this way?"

52 But Jesus said to him, "Put your sword in its place, Gen. 9:6; Rev. 13:10for all who take the sword will perish by the sword.53 Or do you think that I cannot now pray to My Father, and He will provide Me with 2 Kin. 6:17; Dan. 7:10more than twelve legions of angels?54 How then could the Scriptures be fulfilled, Is. 50:6; 53:2–11; Luke 24:25–27, 44–46; John 19:28; Acts 13:29; 17:3; 26:23that it must happen thus?"
