4 Pilate went out again, and said to them: »Look, I bring him out to you, that you may know that I find no fault in him.«

5 Jesus came out, wearing the crown of thorns and the purple garment. Pilate said: »Look, the man!«

6 When the chief priests and officers saw him, they cried out: »Impale him! Impale him!« Pilate replied: »Take him yourselves, and impale him for he has committed no crime!«
