1 — Naquele dia, haverá uma fonte jorrando água, e ali os descendentes de Davi e os outros moradores de Jerusalém poderão se lavar de todos os pecados e de todas as impurezas. 2 E no mesmo dia eu, o Senhor Todo-Poderoso, farei desaparecer da terra de Israel os nomes dos ídolos, e ninguém lembrará mais deles. Também tirarei do país todos os falsos profetas e acabarei com a vontade que o povo tem de adorar ídolos. 3 Quando alguém quiser fazer profecias, os próprios pais lhe dirão: "Você vai morrer, pois está dizendo que as suas mentiras são mensagens de Deus, o Senhor!" E os pais matarão o filho à espada quando ele estiver bancando o profeta! 4 Naquele dia, qualquer um que profetizar terá vergonha da sua visão. Ninguém vestirá uma capa de peles de animais para fingir que é profeta. 5 Pelo contrário, cada um dirá: "Eu não sou profeta; sou lavrador. Desde criança trabalho na roça." 6 E, se alguém perguntar: "Que ferimentos são esses no seu peito?", ele responderá: "São os ferimentos que recebi na casa dos meus amigos."

7 O Senhor Todo-Poderoso diz:

"Levante-se, espada, e ataque o meu pastor !

Ataque o meu ajudante!

Mate o pastor, e as ovelhas serão espalhadas;

e eu mesmo atacarei os carneirinhos.

8 Dos moradores de Israel,

dois terços morrerão;

só um terço sobrará com vida.

9 E estes que sobrarem eu farei passar pelo fogo.

Eu os purificarei como se purifica a prata

e os refinarei como se refina o ouro.

Aí eles orarão a mim,

e eu os atenderei.

Direi: ‘Vocês são o meu povo’,

e eles responderão: ‘O Senhor é o nosso Deus.’ "

1 In that day there shall be a fountain opened to the house of David and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, for sin and for uncleanness. 2 And it shall come to pass in that day, saith the LORD of hosts, that I will cut off the names of the idols out of the land, and they shall no more be remembered: and also I will cause the prophets and the unclean spirit to pass out of the land. 3 And it shall come to pass that, when any shall yet prophesy, then his father and his mother that begat him shall say unto him, Thou shall not live; for thou speakest lies in the name of the LORD: and his father and his mother that begat him shall thrust him through when he prophesieth. 4 And it shall come to pass in that day, that the prophets shall be ashamed every one of his vision, when he prophesieth; neither shall they wear a hairy mantle to deceive: 5 but he shall say, I am no prophet, I am a tiller of the ground; for I have been made a bondman from my youth. 6 And one shall say unto him, What are these wounds between thine arms? Then he shall answer, Those with which I was wounded in the house of my friends. 7 Awake, O sword, against my shepherd, and against the man that is my fellow, saith the LORD of hosts: smite the shepherd, and the sheep shall be scattered; and I will turn mine hand upon the little ones. 8 And it shall come to pass, that in all the land, saith the LORD, two parts therein shall be cut off and die; but the third shall be left therein. 9 And I will bring the third part through the fire, and will refine them as silver is refined, and will try them as gold is tried: they shall call on my name, and I will hear them: I will say, It is my people; and they shall say, The LORD is my God.
