O filho mais velho do rei David foi Amnom, que lhe nasceu da sua mulher Ainoã, a jezreelita.

O segundo foi Daniel, cuja mãe foi Abigail, do Carmelo.

2 O terceiro foi Absalão, filho de sua mulher Maacá, a qual era filha de Talmai, rei de Gesur.

O quarto, foi Adonias, filho de Hagite.

3 O quinto, Sefatias, filho de Abital.

O sexto, Itreão, filho de sua mulher Egla.

4 Estes seis nasceram-lhe em Hebrom, onde reinou sete anos e meio.

Depois foi viver para Jerusalém, que passou a ser a capital do reino, e onde permaneceu durante 33 anos. 5 Em Jerusalém, a sua mulher Bate-Seba, filha de Amiel, deu à luz

Simeia, Sobabe, Natã e Salomão.

6 David teve ainda mais outros nove filhos: Ibar, Elisama, Elifelete, 7 Nogá, Nefegue, Jafia, 8 Elisama, Eliada e Elifelete.

9 Esta lista não inclui os filhos das suas concubinas. David teve também uma filha, Tamar.

Os filhos de Zorobabel foram:

Mesulão, Hananias, Hasubá, Oel, Berequias, Hasadias, Jusabe-Hesede, e uma filha: Selomite.

21 Os filhos de Hananias foram Pelatias e Jesaías; o filho de Jesaías foi Refaías; o filho de Refaías foi Arnã; o filho de Arnã foi Obadias; o filho de Obadias foi Secanias.

22 O filho de Secanias foi Semaías;

Semaías teve seis filhos, entre os quais: Hatus, Igal, Bariá, Nearias e Safate.

23 Nearias teve três filhos:

Elioenai, Ezequias, Azricão.

24 Elioenai teve sete filhos:

Hodavias, Eliasibe, Pelaías, Acube, Joanã, Delaías e Anani.
