1 Deem graças ao Senhor, porque ele é bom,

porque o seu amor é eterno!

3 Também os sacerdotes, da família de Aarão,

digam a mesma coisa:

"O seu amor é eterno!"

4 Os que temem o Senhor devem repetir:

"O seu amor é eterno!"

5 Na angústia, gritei pelo Senhor.

Ele ouviu-me e livrou-me com toda a segurança!

6 O Senhor está comigo;

não terei medo do que o homem me possa fazer.

7 O Senhor está comigo,

dando ajuda a todos os que me apoiam;

triunfarei sobre os que me querem mal.

8 É melhor buscar refúgio no Senhor

do que confiar nos homens.

9 É melhor buscar refúgio no Senhor

do que nos chefes de uma nação.

10 Cercaram-me muitos povos,

mas eu derrotei-os em nome do Senhor!

11 Sim, cercaram-me e tornaram-me a cercar,

mas eu derrotei-os em nome do Senhor!

12 Cercaram-me como abelhas prontas a ferroar,

cujos espinhos ardiam como fogo,

mas eu derrotei-os em nome do Senhor!

13 O inimigo procurou fazer-me cair,

mas o Senhor estava lá, para me socorrer.

14 Deus é a minha força!

O Senhor é o único assunto dos meus cânticos,

porque ele é a minha salvação!

15 Na habitação dos justos

ouvem-se alegres cânticos de vitória,

agradecendo a Deus pela sua salvação.

O braço forte do Senhor é eficaz

e faz coisas maravilhosas!

16 A mão poderosa*118.16 No hebraico, mão direita, representando a autoridade. do Senhor é exaltada;

a mão poderosa do Senhor opera maravilhas.

17 Eu sei que não hei de morrer agora,

mas continuarei a viver,

para poder contar ao mundo as obras do Senhor.

18 O Senhor castigou-me muito,

mas não me entregou à morte.

19 Abram-me as portas do templo,

no qual se conhece a justiça de Deus;

pois eu quero entrar para dar graças ao Senhor!

20 Essas portas são o caminho para a presença do Senhor;

por elas entram todos os que praticam a justiça.

21 Senhor, eu te agradeço porque me salvaste,

porque tu me ouviste!

22 A pedra que os construtores rejeitaram

veio a tornar-se a pedra fundamental do edifício!

23 Isto foi outra obra que o Senhor fez

e é espantosa aos nossos olhos!

24 Este é o dia que o Senhor fez;

alegremo-nos e rejubilemos todos com isso!

25 Salva-nos, Senhor, nós te pedimos!

Faz-nos prosperar contigo, nós te rogamos!

26 Bendito aquele que vem em nome do Senhor!

Sê feliz e vitorioso no templo do Senhor!

27 O Senhor é Deus e fez a sua luz brilhar sobre nós.

Tragam a vítima para o sacrifício

e atem-na com cordas às pontas do altar.

28 Tu és o meu Deus e eu te louvarei;

dar-te-ei toda a honra.

29 Deem graças ao Senhor, porque ele é bom,

13 Thou hast thrust sore at me that I might fall: but the LORD helped me.

14 The LORD is my strength and song, and is become my salvation.

15 The voice of rejoicing and salvation is in the tabernacles of the righteous: the right hand of the LORD doeth valiantly.

16 The right hand of the LORD is exalted: the right hand of the LORD doeth valiantly.

17 I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the LORD.

18 The LORD hath chastened me sore: but he hath not given me over unto death.

19 Open to me the gates of righteousness: I will go into them, and I will praise the LORD:

20 This gate of the LORD, into which the righteous shall enter.

21 I will praise thee: for thou hast heard me, and art become my salvation.

22 The stone which the builders refused is become the head stone of the corner.

24 This is the day which the LORD hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.

25 Save now, I beseech thee, O LORD: O LORD, I beseech thee, send now prosperity.

26 Blessed be he that cometh in the name of the LORD: we have blessed you out of the house of the LORD.

27 God is the LORD, which hath shewed us light: bind the sacrifice with cords, even unto the horns of the altar.

28 Thou art my God, and I will praise thee: thou art my God, I will exalt thee.
