Salmo de David.

1 Eu te louvarei, meu Deus e meu Rei!

Quero cantar a força do teu nome para sempre!

2 Sim, dia após dia, quero louvar-te

e por toda a eternidade

falar de toda a grandeza do teu nome.

3 Grande é o Senhor

e inteiramente digno de louvor;

a sua grandeza ultrapassa o nosso entendimento.

4 Cada geração conte aos seus descendentes

as maravilhas que o Senhor faz.

5 Quero falar da magnífica glória da tua majestade

e meditar nas tuas maravilhas.

6 Toda a fama dos teus espantosos milagres

correrá de boca em boca,

assim como toda a tua grandeza.

7 Todos falarão da tua bondade

e cantarão a tua justiça.

8 Bondoso e misericordioso é o Senhor;

ele é paciente e cheio de amor.

9 É bom para todos;

tudo o que faz é consequência do seu amor.

10 Tudo o que criaste, Senhor, é motivo

para que aqueles que te pertencem te louvem.

11 Para que falem da glória do teu reino,

mencionando os feitos do teu poder.

12 Darão a conhecer à humanidade os teus milagres,

a tua majestade e a glória do teu reino.

13 O teu reino não tem fim;

o teu domínio estende-se por todas as gerações.

14 O Senhor ampara todos os que caem

e levanta os que estão abatidos.

15 Os olhos de todos estão postos em ti, Senhor;

tu lhes dás alimento conforme o que precisam.

16 Abres a tua generosa mão

e satisfazes os desejos de todo o ser vivo.

17 Justo é o Senhor em tudo o que faz;

as suas obras têm a marca da sua bondade.

18 O Senhor está perto de todos os que o chamam,

de todos os que o invocam em verdade.

19 Realizará os desejos daqueles que o temem;

ouvirá os seus apelos e os salvará.

20 O Senhor guarda todos os que o amam,

mas todos os ímpios serão destruídos.

21 Louvarei o Senhor, publicamente,

e todos os habitantes da Terra louvarão

a força do seu nome, para sempre!
