Salmo de David.

1 Peço-te que me socorras, Senhor,

pois és o rochedo da minha segurança.

Não fiques mudo para comigo, mas responde-me,

se não, sou capaz de desesperar,

de ficar como os que descem ao abismo da morte.

2 Ouve a voz das minhas súplicas quando te invoco

e levanto as mãos para o teu lugar santíssimo.

3 Não me castigues juntamente com os pecadores,

que estão sempre a falar de paz com os seus amigos,

mas têm os corações cheios de maldade.

4 Castiga-os segundo merecem as suas obras,

de acordo com a sua malícia;

recompensa-os segundo as obras das suas mãos,

por todo o mal que praticam.

5 São gente que não se interessa pelo Senhor,

nem pelo que tem feito e criado.

Por isso, Deus os derrubará;

como casas que foram destruídas, nunca serão reerguidos.

6 Louvado seja o Senhor,

porque ouviu a voz das minhas súplicas.

7 Ele é a minha força,

o meu escudo contra todo o perigo;

o meu coração confiou nele e fui socorrido.

Por isso, salto de alegria;

louvarei o Senhor com o meu canto.

8 O Senhor é a força do seu povo,

a força de salvação do seu ungido.

9 Salva o teu povo e abençoa os que te pertencem;

apascenta-os como um pastor e guia-os para sempre.

3 Draw me not away with the wicked, and with the workers of iniquity, which speak peace to their neighbours, but mischief is in their hearts.

4 Give them according to their deeds, and according to the wickedness of their endeavours: give them after the work of their hands; render to them their desert.

5 Because they regard not the works of the LORD, nor the operation of his hands, he shall destroy them, and not build them up.

6 Blessed be the LORD, because he hath heard the voice of my supplications.

7 The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him.
