1 Venham, cantemos para o Senhor!

Cantemos com toda a alegria

àquele que é a rocha que nos salva!

2 Vamos até à sua presença

com os corações cheios de louvores,

dirigindo-lhe cânticos!

3 Porque o Senhor é o Deus grande;

ele é o grande Rei que está acima de tudo

o que os homens consideram como deuses.

4 Nas suas mãos está o controlo da Terra,

tanto dos seus fundamentos

como das mais altas montanhas.

5 Foi ele quem fez o mar e formou a Terra,

por isso, tem o domínio sobre eles.

6 Venham e ajoelhemo-nos em adoração,

perante o Senhor que nos criou!

7 Ele é o nosso Deus.

Nós somos suas ovelhas e ele é o nosso pastor.

Se hoje ouvirem a sua voz,

8 "Não endureçam os vossos corações,

como no deserto em Meribá e em Massá,

naquele dia em que me provocaram.

9 Ali os vossos pais tentaram a minha paciência

e duvidaram de mim,

mesmo depois de terem visto tudo o que eu fiz.

10 Durante quarenta anos andei desgostoso com esta geração.

É um povo que erra constantemente;

eles não conheceram os meus caminhos.

11 Por isso, jurei, na minha cólera:

não entrarão no lugar do meu descanso!"
