6 Seguir o Espírito leva à vida e à paz, mas seguir atrás da velha natureza conduz à morte,

7 porque a velha natureza pecadora, em nós, é contra Deus. Nunca obedeceu às leis de Deus e nem pode fazê-lo

8 É por isso que os que ainda estão sob o controlo da sua natureza pecadora nunca podem agradar a Deus.

6 For the mind of the flesh is death; but the mind of the Spirit is life and peace:

7 because the mind of the flesh is enmity against God; for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can it be:

8 and those who are in the flesh can't please God.
