He led them out as far as Bethany and lifted up his hands and blessed them.
While he was blessing them he parted from them and was carried up into heaven.
Jesus said to her, "Do not cling to me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father. But go to my brethren and say to them, 'I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.'
Confessedly great is the mystery of godliness: "Who was manifested in flesh, declared righteous in spirit, seen by angels, proclaimed among Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up in glory."
Jesus said, "A little while longer I am with you and then I am going to him who sent me.
