Finally, all must be like-minded, sympathetic, full of brotherly love, compassionate, humble-minded,
Rejoice with those who rejoice, weep with those who weep.
But if any one has this world's goods and sees his brother in need and shuts away his sympathies from him, how can the love of God remain in him?
For we have not a high priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, for he has been tempted in every way just as we are, yet without sin.
Put on, then, as the chosen of God, holy and beloved, sympathies, compassions, kindness, humility, gentleness, slowness to anger,
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of loving kindness and the God of all encouragement,
who encourages us in every distress so that we may be able to encourage those who are in every distress by the encouragement by which we ourselves have been encouraged by God.
Be kind to one another, sympathetic, forgiving one another just as God in Christ has forgiven you.
