1 We who are strong ought to bear with the failings of the weak, and not to please ourselves;

12 "This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you.

35 for I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me,

36 I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me.'

37 Then the righteous will answer him, Lord, when did we see thee hungry and feed thee, or thirsty and give thee drink?

38 And when did we see thee a stranger and welcome thee, or naked and clothe thee?

39 And when did we see thee sick or in prison and visit thee?'

40 And the King will answer them, Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brethren, you did it to me.'

4 Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others.

13 Greater love has no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.

35 In all things I have shown you that by so toiling one must help the weak, remembering the words of the Lord Jesus, how he said, It is more blessed to give than to receive.'"

36 And when he had spoken thus, he knelt down and prayed with them all.

37 And they all wept and embraced Paul and kissed him,

38 sorrowing most of all because of the word he had spoken, that they should see his face no more. And they brought him to the ship.

38 give, and it will be given to you; good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put into your lap. For the measure you give will be the measure you get back."

14 What does it profit, my brethren, if a man says he has faith but has not works? Can his faith save him?

15 If a brother or sister is ill-clad and in lack of daily food,

16 and one of you says to them, "Go in peace, be warmed and filled," without giving them the things needed for the body, what does it profit?

17 So faith by itself, if it has no works, is dead.

16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.

2 Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.

42 Give to him who begs from you, and do not refuse him who would borrow from you.

11 For the poor will never cease out of the land; therefore I command you, You shall open wide your hand to your brother, to the needy and to the poor, in the land.

13 Contribute to the needs of the saints, practice hospitality.

28 Let the thief no longer steal, but rather let him labor, doing honest work with his hands, so that he may be able to give to those in need.

10 And the multitudes asked him, "What then shall we do?"

11 And he answered them, "He who has two coats, let him share with him who has none; and he who has food, let him do likewise."

17 But if any one has the world's goods and sees his brother in need, yet closes his heart against him, how does God's love abide in him?

17 He who is kind to the poor lends to the LORD, and he will repay him for his deed.

33 Sell your possessions, and give alms; provide yourselves with purses that do not grow old, with a treasure in the heavens that does not fail, where no thief approaches and no moth destroys.

34 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.
