17 But I will sing of thy might; I will sing aloud of thy steadfast love in the morning. For thou hast been to me a fortress and a refuge in the day of my distress. 17 Ah Lord GOD! It is thou who hast made the heavens and the earth by thy great power and by thy outstretched arm! Nothing is too hard for thee,


3 to grant to those who mourn in Zion-- to give them a garland instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, the mantle of praise instead of a faint spirit; that they may be called oaks of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he may be glorified.


10 For the sake of Christ, then, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities; for when I am weak, then I am strong.


19 When the cares of my heart are many, thy consolations cheer my soul.


7 Now I know that the LORD will help his anointed; he will answer him from his holy heaven with mighty victories by his right hand.


30 and you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength.'

4 for the weapons of our warfare are not worldly but have divine power to destroy strongholds.


29 He gives power to the faint, and to him who has no might he increases strength.


23 for those blessed by the LORD shall possess the land, but those cursed by him shall be cut off.

24 The steps of a man are from the LORD, and he establishes him in whose way he delights;


31 This God--his way is perfect; the promise of the LORD proves true; he is a shield for all those who take refuge in him.


7 for God did not give us a spirit of timidity but a spirit of power and love and self-control.


8 But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Sama'ria and to the end of the earth."


6 And David was greatly distressed; for the people spoke of stoning him, because all the people were bitter in soul, each for his sons and daughters. But David strengthened himself in the LORD his God.


4 Little children, you are of God, and have overcome them; for he who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.


9 but he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." I will all the more gladly boast of my weaknesses, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

10 For the sake of Christ, then, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities; for when I am weak, then I am strong.


2 O LORD, our Lord, how majestic is thy name in all the earth! Thou whose glory above the heavens is chanted


13 Give me not up to the will of my adversaries; for false witnesses have risen against me, and they breathe out violence.

14 I believe that I shall see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living! [ (Psalms 27:15) Wait for the LORD; be strong, and let your heart take courage; yea, wait for the LORD! ]


14 The LORD is my strength and my song; he has become my salvation.


1 To the choirmaster. A Psalm of David the servant of the LORD, who addressed the words of this song to the LORD on the day when the LORD delivered him from the hand of all his enemies, and from the hand of Saul. He said:

2 I love thee, O LORD, my strength.


31 For the Lord will not cast off for ever,

32 but, though he cause grief, he will have compassion according to the abundance of his steadfast love;

33 for he does not willingly afflict or grieve the sons of men.


11 Seek the LORD and his strength, seek his presence continually!


22 Evil shall slay the wicked; and those who hate the righteous will be condemned. [ (Psalms 34:23) The LORD redeems the life of his servants; none of those who take refuge in him will be condemned. ]


7 For though the LORD is high, he regards the lowly; but the haughty he knows from afar.


3 thou with thy own hand didst drive out the nations, but them thou didst plant; thou didst afflict the peoples, but them thou didst set free;


20 Then David said to Solomon his son, "Be strong and of good courage, and do it. Fear not, be not dismayed; for the LORD God, even my God, is with you. He will not fail you or forsake you, until all the work for the service of the house of the LORD is finished.


16 They roam about for food, and growl if they do not get their fill.


29 Yea, thou dost light my lamp; the LORD my God lightens my darkness.


14 I believe that I shall see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living! [ (Psalms 27:15) Wait for the LORD; be strong, and let your heart take courage; yea, wait for the LORD! ]


39 But transgressors shall be altogether destroyed; the posterity of the wicked shall be cut off.


20 Thou who hast made me see many sore troubles wilt revive me again; from the depths of the earth thou wilt bring me up again.

21 Thou wilt increase my honor, and comfort me again.

13 Be watchful, stand firm in your faith, be courageous, be strong.


10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might.


18 When the righteous cry for help, the LORD hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles.


3 I pour out my complaint before him, I tell my trouble before him.


17 O God, from my youth thou hast taught me, and I still proclaim thy wondrous deeds.

18 So even to old age and gray hairs, O God, do not forsake me, till I proclaim thy might to all the generations to come. Thy power


26 But Jesus looked at them and said to them, "With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible."


13 Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were uneducated, common men, they wondered; and they recognized that they had been with Jesus.


12 if we endure, we shall also reign with him; if we deny him, he also will deny us;


4 and my speech and my message were not in plausible words of wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power,

5 that your faith might not rest in the wisdom of men but in the power of God.


28 My soul melts away for sorrow; strengthen me according to thy word!


10 Then he said to them, "Go your way, eat the fat and drink sweet wine and send portions to him for whom nothing is prepared; for this day is holy to our Lord; and do not be grieved, for the joy of the LORD is your strength."


31 What then shall we say to this? If God is for us, who is against us?

28 We know that in everything God works for good with those who love him, who are called according to his purpose.
