20 Während er aber solches im Sinne hatte, siehe, da erschien ihm ein Engel des Herrn im Traum, der sprach: Joseph, Sohn Davids, scheue dich nicht, Maria, dein Weib, zu dir zu nehmen; denn was in ihr erzeugt ist, das ist vom heiligen Geist.

21 Sie wird aber einen Sohn gebären, und du sollst ihm den Namen Jesus geben; denn er wird sein Volk retten von ihren Sünden.

20 And on his thinking of these things, lo, a messenger of the Lord in a dream appeared to him, saying, Joseph, son of David, thou mayest not fear to receive Mary thy wife, for that which in her was begotten [is] of the Holy Spirit,

21 and she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name Jesus, for he shall save his people from their sins.
