28 Petrus aber antwortete ihm und sprach: Herr, bist du es, so heiße mich zu dir auf das Wasser kommen!

29 Da sprach er: Komm! Und Petrus stieg aus dem Schiff und wandelte auf dem Wasser und kam auf Jesus zu.

30 Als er aber den starken Wind sah, fürchtete er sich, und da er zu sinken anfing, schrie er und sprach: Herr, rette mich!

31 Jesus aber streckte alsbald die Hand aus, ergriff ihn und sprach zu ihm: Du Kleingläubiger, warum zweifeltest du?

28 And Peter answering him said, Sir, if it is thou, bid me come to thee upon the waters;

29 and he said, Come; and having gone down from the boat, Peter walked upon the waters to come unto Jesus,

30 but seeing the wind vehement, he was afraid, and having begun to sink, he cried out, saying, Sir, save me.

31 And immediately Jesus, having stretched forth the hand, laid hold of him, and saith to him, Little faith! for what didst thou waver?
