A repetição de diversas leis

1 Disse Jeová a Moisés: 2 Fala a toda a congregação dos filhos de Israel e dize-lhes: *1Pe 1.16Sereis santos; pois eu, Jeová, vosso Deus, sou santo. 3 Temereis cada um a sua mãe e a seu pai e guardareis os *Êx 20.8meus sábados; *Lv 11.44eu sou Jeová, vosso Deus. 4 Não vos volteis a *Lv 26.1;Sl 96.5;115.4-7ídolos, nem façais para vós *Êx 20.23;34.17deuses fundidos: eu sou Jeová, vosso Deus.

5 Quando oferecerdes a Jeová um sacrifício de ofertas pacíficas, oferecê-lo-eis para que sejais aceitos. 6 Comer-se-á no mesmo dia em que o oferecerdes, e no dia seguinte; se sobejar alguma coisa até ao terceiro dia, queimar-se-á com fogo. 7 Se for comido ao terceiro dia, é uma abominação, e não será aceito; 8 mas todo o que comer dele levará sobre si a sua iniquidade, porque profanou coisa santa de Jeová. Essa alma será cortada do seu povo.

9 *Lv 23.22;Dt 24.20-22Quando segares as messes da tua terra, não segarás totalmente os cantos do teu campo, nem colherás o rabisco da tua sega. 10 Não rabiscarás a tua vinha, nem colherás os bagos caídos da tua vinha; mas deixá-los-ás para o pobre e para o estrangeiro: eu sou Jeová, vosso Deus.

11 *Êx 20.15-16Não furtareis, nem enganareis, nem mentireis uns aos outros. 12 *Êx 20.7Não jurareis falso pelo meu nome, de sorte que *Lv 18.21profaneis o nome de vosso Deus: eu sou Jeová.

13 *Êx 22.7-15,21-27Não oprimirás o teu próximo, nem o roubarás; *Dt 24.15a paga de um jornaleiro não ficará contigo até pela manhã. 14 Não amaldiçoarás o surdo, nem *Dt 27.18porás tropeço diante do cego, mas temerás o teu Deus: eu sou Jeová.

15 *Êx 23.3,6;Dt 1.17;10.17Não farás injustiça no juízo; não terás respeito à pessoa do pobre, nem honrarás a pessoa do poderoso; mas com justiça julgarás o teu próximo. 16 Não andarás como *Sl 15.3;Jr 6.28;9.4;Ez 22.9mexeriqueiro entre o teu povo, nem conspirarás contra o *Êx 23.7;Dt 27.25sangue do teu próximo: eu sou Jeová.

17 Não *1Jo 2.9,11;3.15aborrecerás a teu irmão no teu coração; *Mt 18.15;Lc 17.3não deixarás de repreender o teu próximo e não levarás sobre ti pecado por causa dele. 18 *Dt 32.35;Rm 12.19;Hb 10.30Não te vingarás nem *Sl 103.9guardarás ira contra os filhos do teu povo, mas *Mt 19.19;Mc 12.31;Lc 10.27;Rm 13.9amarás o teu próximo como a ti mesmo: eu sou Jeová.

19 Guardarás os meus estatutos. Não permitirás que os teus animais se ajuntem com os de espécie diversa; *Dt 22.9,11não semearás o teu campo com diversa semente; nem vestirás vestido de dois estofos misturados. 20 *Dt 22.23-27Se alguém se deitar com uma mulher escrava, desposada com um homem, e que não for resgatada, nem posta em liberdade, serão ambos açoitados; não os farão morrer, porque ela não era livre. 21 O homem trará a sua oferta pela culpa a Jeová, até a entrada da tenda da revelação, a saber, *Lv 6.1-7um carneiro para oferta pela culpa. 22 Com o carneiro da oferta pela culpa, fará o sacerdote expiação por ele diante de Jeová, por causa do pecado que cometeu; e ser-lhe-á perdoado o pecado que cometeu.

23 Quando entrardes na terra e tiverdes plantado toda sorte de árvores para delas comerdes, tereis o seu fruto como incircuncisão; por três anos vos será como incircunciso; não se comerá. 24 No quarto ano, porém, todo o seu fruto será santo, ações de graças a Jeová. 25 No quinto ano, comereis o seu fruto, para que vos produza a sua carga: eu sou Jeová, vosso Deus.

26 Não comereis coisa alguma *Lv 17.10com sangue; nem usareis de *Dt 18.10encantamentos, nem de agouros. 27 *Lv 21.5Não cortareis os cabelos em redondo, nem destruireis os cantos da barba. 28 Pelos mortos não fareis incisões em vossa carne, nem no vosso corpo imprimireis marca alguma: eu sou Jeová.

29 *Lv 21.9;Dt 22.21;23.17-18Não profanarás tua filha, fazendo-a prostituta; para que a terra não seja entregue à fornicação e não se encha de maldade. 30 *Lv 19.3Guardareis os meus sábados *Lv 26.2e reverenciareis o meu santuário: eu sou Jeová.

31 *Lv 20.6,27;Dt 18.11Não vos voltareis para os que consultam os mortos, nem para os feiticeiros; não os busqueis, para serdes contaminados por eles: eu sou Jeová, vosso Deus.

32 *Lm 5.12Diante das cãs te levantarás, honrarás a face do ancião, e temerás o teu Deus: eu sou Jeová.

33 *Êx 22.21Se um estrangeiro peregrinar convosco na vossa terra, não lhe fareis mal. 34 Como o natural entre vós será o estrangeiro que peregrina convosco, e *Lv 19.18amá-lo-ás como a ti mesmo, porque fostes estrangeiros na terra do Egito: eu sou Jeová, vosso Deus.

35 *Dt 25.13-16Não fareis injustiça no juízo, nem na vara, nem no peso, nem na medida. 36 Balanças justas, pesos justos, efa justo e justo him tereis: eu sou Jeová, vosso Deus, que vos trouxe da terra do Egito. 37 Observareis todos os meus estatutos e todos os meus juízos e os cumprireis: eu sou Jeová.

1 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, 2 Speak unto all the congregation of the children of Israel, and say unto them, Ye shall be holy: for I the LORD your God am holy.

3 Ye shall fear every man his mother, and his father, and keep my sabbaths: I am the LORD your God.

4 Turn ye not unto idols, nor make to yourselves molten gods: I am the LORD your God.

5 And if ye offer a sacrifice of peace offerings unto the LORD, ye shall offer it at your own will. 6 It shall be eaten the same day ye offer it, and on the morrow: and if ought remain until the third day, it shall be burnt in the fire. 7 And if it be eaten at all on the third day, it is abominable; it shall not be accepted. 8 Therefore every one that eateth it shall bear his iniquity, because he hath profaned the hallowed thing of the LORD: and that soul shall be cut off from among his people.

9 And when ye reap the harvest of your land, thou shalt not wholly reap the corners of thy field, neither shalt thou gather the gleanings of thy harvest. 10 And thou shalt not glean thy vineyard, neither shalt thou gather every grape of thy vineyard; thou shalt leave them for the poor and stranger: I am the LORD your God.

11 Ye shall not steal, neither deal falsely, neither lie one to another.

12 And ye shall not swear by my name falsely, neither shalt thou profane the name of thy God: I am the LORD.

13 Thou shalt not defraud thy neighbour, neither rob him: the wages of him that is hired shall not abide with thee all night until the morning.

14 Thou shalt not curse the deaf, nor put a stumblingblock before the blind, but shalt fear thy God: I am the LORD.

15 Ye shall do no unrighteousness in judgment: thou shalt not respect the person of the poor, nor honour the person of the mighty: but in righteousness shalt thou judge thy neighbour.

16 Thou shalt not go up and down as a talebearer among thy people: neither shalt thou stand against the blood of thy neighbour: I am the LORD.

17 Thou shalt not hate thy brother in thine heart: thou shalt in any wise rebuke thy neighbour, and not suffer sin upon him.*19.17 and…: or, that thou bear not sin for him

18 Thou shalt not avenge, nor bear any grudge against the children of thy people, but thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself: I am the LORD.

19 Ye shall keep my statutes. Thou shalt not let thy cattle gender with a diverse kind: thou shalt not sow thy field with mingled seed: neither shall a garment mingled of linen and woollen come upon thee.

20 And whosoever lieth carnally with a woman, that is a bondmaid, betrothed to an husband, and not at all redeemed, nor freedom given her; she shall be scourged; they shall not be put to death, because she was not free.*19.20 betrothed…: or, abused by any: Heb. reproached by (or, for) man*19.20 she shall…: or, they, etc: Heb. there shall be a scourging 21 And he shall bring his trespass offering unto the LORD, unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, even a ram for a trespass offering. 22 And the priest shall make an atonement for him with the ram of the trespass offering before the LORD for his sin which he hath done: and the sin which he hath done shall be forgiven him.

23 And when ye shall come into the land, and shall have planted all manner of trees for food, then ye shall count the fruit thereof as uncircumcised: three years shall it be as uncircumcised unto you: it shall not be eaten of. 24 But in the fourth year all the fruit thereof shall be holy to praise the LORD withal.*19.24 holy…: Heb. holiness of praises to the LORD 25 And in the fifth year shall ye eat of the fruit thereof, that it may yield unto you the increase thereof: I am the LORD your God.

26 Ye shall not eat any thing with the blood: neither shall ye use enchantment, nor observe times. 27 Ye shall not round the corners of your heads, neither shalt thou mar the corners of thy beard. 28 Ye shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor print any marks upon you: I am the LORD.

29 Do not prostitute thy daughter, to cause her to be a whore; lest the land fall to whoredom, and the land become full of wickedness.*19.29 prostitute: Heb. profane

30 Ye shall keep my sabbaths, and reverence my sanctuary: I am the LORD.

31 Regard not them that have familiar spirits, neither seek after wizards, to be defiled by them: I am the LORD your God.

32 Thou shalt rise up before the hoary head, and honour the face of the old man, and fear thy God: I am the LORD.

33 And if a stranger sojourn with thee in your land, ye shall not vex him.*19.33 vex: or, oppress 34 But the stranger that dwelleth with you shall be unto you as one born among you, and thou shalt love him as thyself; for ye were strangers in the land of Egypt: I am the LORD your God.

35 Ye shall do no unrighteousness in judgment, in meteyard, in weight, or in measure. 36 Just balances, just weights, a just ephah, and a just hin, shall ye have: I am the LORD your God, which brought you out of the land of Egypt.*19.36 weights: Heb. stones 37 Therefore shall ye observe all my statutes, and all my judgments, and do them: I am the LORD.
