1 Then I saw in the right hand of him who sits on the throne a scroll written on the inside and *A,C,K 80.2% ¦ on the back NA SBL TH TR WH 8.9%outside, sealed with seven seals. 2 And I saw a mighty angel proclaiming with a loud voice, "Who is worthy to open the scroll and break its seals?" 3 But no one in heaven *K [56%] ¦ --- 𝔐A,C ANT CT PCK TR [43.1%]above or on earth or under the earth could open the scroll or look inside it. 4 So I began to weep loudly because no one was found who was worthy to *A(20),K [65.3%] ¦ open and read 𝔐A(24),C PCK TR [28.2%]open the scroll or look inside it. 5 Then one of the elders said to me, "Do not weep; behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has *K 41.7% ¦ conquered so as to 𝔐A,C ANT CT PCK TR 53.5%conquered; he is the one who can open the scroll *A,C,K [94%] ¦ and break TR [4.6%]and its seven seals."

6 Then I *A,C,K [75.6%] • MSS [11.5%] ¦ looked, and behold, there was TR [9.7%]saw a Lamb that looked like it had been slain; he was standing among the elders in the midst of the throne and the four living creatures. He had seven horns and seven eyes, which are the *A,C,K 72.8% • TR 5.4% ¦ --- ECM† 10.1%seven spirits of God sent out into all the earth. 7 He went and took the scroll out of the right hand of him who was sitting on the throne. 8 When he took the scroll, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb. Each of them had a harp and golden bowls full of incense, which *K(42) [32.1%] • 𝔐A,C ANT CT PCK TR [50.9%] ¦ contain 𝔐K(30) [17%]are the prayers of the saints. 9 And they sang a new song:

"Worthy are yoʋ to take the scroll

and open its seals,

out of every tribe, tongue, people, and nation.

10 Yoʋ have made *A,C,K [97.2%] ¦ us TR [1.4%]them *A,C,K 93.7% ¦ to be a kingdom ECM† NA SBL TH WH 5.1%kings and priests to our God,

and *A(32),C,K(50) 60.3% ¦ they 𝔐A(20),K(41) SBL WH 35.8% ¦ we will TR 3.1%they will reign on the earth."

11 Then I looked, and I heard *A(19),C,K [76.5%] ¦ --- 𝔐A(27) ECM† NA SBL TH TR WH [23.5%]something like the voice of many angels surrounding the throne, the living creatures, and the *A,C,K [97.2%] ¦ elders. And thousands of thousands ST [0%] {Note: Two manuscripts (0.9%) have a longer omission here, but no extant manuscripts read like ST.}elders. Their number was myriads of myriads and thousands of thousands, 12 and they were saying with a loud voice,

"Worthy is the Lamb who was slain

to receive power and riches, wisdom and strength,

honor, glory, and blessing!"

13 Then I heard every creature in heaven, on earth, under the earth, in the sea, and all that is in them, saying,

"To him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb,

be blessing and honor, glory and power,

forever and ever! *A,C,K 74.2% ¦ --- ANT CT TR 19.6%Amen."

14 And *C,K [44.5%] ¦ the four living creatures were 𝔐A ANT CT TR [41.3%] ¦ {omit And I heard the four living creatures saying, "Amen."} MSS [5%]I heard the four living creatures saying, "Amen."
