The Road to Emmaus
13 That same day two of Jesus' disciples were going to a village called Emmaus, which was about seven miles from Jerusalem. 15 As they were talking and discussing these things, Jesus himself drew near and went along with them, 16 but their eyes were kept from recognizing him.
30 As he was reclining at the table with them, he took the bread, blessed and broke it, and gave it to them. 31 Then their eyes were opened, and they recognized him, but he disappeared from their sight. 32 They said to each other, "Were not our hearts burning 24:32 within us ¦ --- WHwithin us as he spoke to us on the road and explained the Scriptures to us?"
