But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the LORD appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, you son of David, fear not to take unto you Mary your wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit. (o. pneuma)
For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love (o. agape) of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
Let brotherly love continue.
Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unexpectedly.
Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not love, (o. agape) I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.
Likewise, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repents.
And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not all of you: for I know that all of you seek Jesus, which was crucified.
He is not here: for he has risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.
And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for you have found favour with God.
And, behold, you shall conceive in your womb, and bring forth a son, and shall call his name JESUS.
He that overcomes, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.
Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.
And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, (o. pneuma) seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.
Think you that I cannot now pray to my Father, and he shall presently give me more than twelve legions of angels?
And while they looked steadfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel;
Which also said, All of you men of Galilee, why stand all of you gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as all of you have seen him go into heaven.
And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.
