12 from now on when you till the ground, it will not yield its strength to you; you will be a fugitive and a wanderer on the earth.13 And Cain said to Yahweh, My punishment is greater than I can bear.14 Look, you have driven me out this day from the face of the ground; and from your face I will be hid; and I will be a fugitive and a wanderer in the earth; and it will come to pass, that whoever finds me will slay me.15 And Yahweh said to him, Therefore whoever slays Cain, vengeance will be taken on him sevenfold. And Yahweh appointed a sign for Cain, lest anyone finding him should strike him.16 And Cain went out from the presence of Yahweh, and dwelt in the land of Nod, on the east of Eden.
