1 [A Psalm] of David. Yahweh is my light and my salvation; Whom shall I fear? Yahweh is the strength of my life; Of whom shall I be afraid?


6 For he will never be moved; The righteous will be had in everlasting remembrance.

7 He will not be afraid of evil news: His heart is fixed, trusting in Yahweh.


20 And Moses said to the people, Don't be afraid: for God has come to prove you{}, and that his fear may be before you{}, that you{} don't sin.


27 Peace I leave with you{}; my peace I give to you{}: not as the world gives, I give to you{}. Don't let your{} heart be troubled, neither let it be fearful.


28 And when they had crossed over, they came to the land, to Gennesaret.


6 In nothing be anxious; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your{} requests be made known to God.

7 And the peace of God, which passes all understanding, will guard your{} hearts and your{} thoughts in Christ Jesus.

5 For in the day of trouble he will keep me secretly in his pavilion: In the covert of his tabernacle he will hide me; He will lift me up on a rock.


3 When I am afraid, I will put my trust in you.


10 Don't be afraid, for I am with you; don't be dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you; yes, I will help you; yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness.


29 And when the men of that place knew him, they sent into all around that region, and brought to him all who were sick,

30 and they implored him that they might only touch the border of his garment: and as many as touched were made whole.


33 But whoever harkens to me will stay securely, And will be quiet without fear of evil.


7 casting all your{} anxiety on him, because he cares for you{}.


18 There is no fear in love: but perfect love casts out fear, because fear has punishment; and he who fears has not been made perfect in love.


25 The fear of man brings a snare; But whoever puts his trust in Yahweh will be safe.


1 Don't let your{} heart be troubled: believe in God, believe also in me.


4 I sought Yahweh, and he answered me, And delivered me from all my fears.


38 And he himself was in the stern, asleep on the cushion: and they wake him, and say to him, Teacher, don't you care that we perish?

39 And he awoke, and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.

40 And he said to them, Why are you{} fearful? Have you{} not yet faith?


1 After these things the word of Yahweh came to Abram in a vision, saying, Don't be afraid, Abram: I am your shield, [and] your exceedingly great reward.


6 So that with good courage we say, The Lord is my helper; and I will not fear: What will man do to me?


15 For you{} didn't receive the spirit of slavery again to fear; but you{} received the spirit of adoption, by whom we cry, Abba, Father.


3 When I am afraid, I will put my trust in you.

4 In God (I will praise his word) In God I have put my trust, I will not be afraid; What can flesh do to me?


3 For rulers are not a terror to the good work, but to the evil. And do you want to not fear the power? Do that which is good, and you will have praise from the same:


8 Don't be afraid because of them; for I am with you to deliver you, says Yahweh.


4 My heart is very pained inside me: And the terrors of death have fallen on me.

5 Fearfulness and trembling have come upon me, And horror has overwhelmed me.


7 For God did not give us a spirit of fearfulness; but of power and love and discipline.


14 Since then the children have shared in flesh and blood, he also himself in like manner partook of the same; that through death he might bring to nothing him who had the power of death, that is, the devil;

15 and might deliver all those who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to slavery.


15 And when the minister of the man of God had risen early, and gone forth, look, a host with horses and chariots was round about the city. And servant said to him, Alas, my master! What shall we do?

16 And he answered, Don't be afraid; for those who are with us are more than those who are with them.

17 And Elisha prayed, and said, Yahweh, I pray you, open his eyes, that he may see. And Yahweh opened the eyes of the young man; and he saw: and, look, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha.


30 And the angel said to her, Don't be afraid, Mary: for you have found favor with God.

31 And look, you will conceive in your womb, and bring forth a son, and will call his name Jesus.


57 You drew near in the day that I called on you; you said, Don't be afraid.


32 Don't be afraid, little flock; for it is your{} Father's good pleasure to give you{} the kingdom.


13 Like a father pities his sons, So Yahweh pities those who fear him.


6 Yahweh is on my side; I will not fear: What can man do to me?


5 You will not be afraid for the terror by night, Nor for the arrow that flies by day;

6 For the pestilence that walks in darkness, Nor for the destruction that wastes at noonday.


24 When you lie down, you will not be afraid: Yes, you will lie down, and your sleep will be sweet.


4 In God (I will praise his word) In God I have put my trust, I will not be afraid; What can flesh do to me?


9 Haven't I commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; don't be frightened, neither be dismayed: for Yahweh your God is with you wherever you go.


8 And Yahweh, it is he who goes before you; he will be with you, he will not fail you, neither forsake you: don't be afraid, neither be dismayed.


22 Cast your burden on Yahweh, and he will sustain you: He will never allow the righteous to be moved.


13 For I, Yahweh your God, will hold your right hand, saying to you, Don't be afraid; I will help you.


49 but they, when they saw him walking on the sea, supposed that it was a ghost, and cried out;

50 for they all saw him, and were troubled. But he immediately spoke with them, and says to them, Be of good cheer: it is I; don't be afraid.


5 Be{} free from the love of money; content with such things as you{} have: for he himself has said, I will never fail you, neither will I ever forsake you.

6 So that with good courage we say, The Lord is my helper; and I will not fear: What will man do to me?


4 Yes, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for you are with me; Your rod and your staff, they comfort me.


6 And you, Son of Man, don't be afraid of them, neither be afraid of their words, though briers and thorns are with you, and you dwell among scorpions: don't be afraid of their words, nor be dismayed at their looks, though they are a rebellious house.


6 Be strong and of good courage, don't fear, nor be afraid of them: for Yahweh your God, it is he who goes with you; he will not fail you, nor forsake you.


21 Don't be afraid, O land, be glad and rejoice; for Yahweh has done great things.


14 But even if you{} should suffer for righteousness' sake, blessed [are you{}:] and don't be afraid of their fear, neither be troubled;


4 Say to those who are of a fearful heart, Be strong, don't be afraid: look, your{} God will come [with] vengeance, [with] the recompense of God; he will come and save you{}.

2 Therefore we will not fear, though the earth changes, And though the mountains shake into the heart of the seas;

3 Though its waters roar and are troubled, Though the mountains tremble with its swelling. Selah.
