15 Don't love the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.

5 And who is he who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?

33 These things I have spoken to you{}, that in me you{} may have peace. In the world you{} have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

10 For godly sorrow works repentance to salvation, [a repentance] which brings no regret: but the sorrow of the world works death.

20 For the invisible things of him since the creation of the world are clearly seen, being perceived through the things that are made, [even] his everlasting power and divinity; that they may be without excuse:

1 Look at what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God; and [such] we are. For this cause the world doesn't know us, because it did not know him.

7 for we brought nothing into the world, neither can we carry anything out;

8 but having food and covering we will be content with this.

4 You{} adulteresses, don't you{} know that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? Whoever therefore would be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God.

19 We know that we are of God, and the whole world lies in the evil one.

9 There was the true light, which lights every man, coming into the world.

10 He was in the world, and the world came into existence through him, and the world did not know him.

18 Let no man deceive himself. If any man thinks that he is wise among you{} in this age, let him become a fool, that he may become wise.

11 And I will punish the world for [their] evil, and the wicked for their iniquity: and I will cause the arrogance of the proud to cease, and will lay low the haughtiness of the terrible.

1 A Psalm of David. The earth is Yahweh's, and the fullness of it; The world, and those who dwell in it.

2 For he has founded it on the seas, And established it on the floods.

4 by which he has granted to us his precious and exceedingly great promises; that through these you{} may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped from the corruption that is in that world by desire.

20 Where is the wise? Where is the scribe? Where is the disputer of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world?

21 For seeing that in the wisdom of God the world through its wisdom didn't know God, it was God's good pleasure through the foolishness of the preaching to save those who believe.

14 And you{} will be hated of all men for my name's sake: but he who endures to the end, the same will be saved.

18 If the world hates you{}, you{} know that it has hated me before [it hated] you{}.

19 If you{} were of the world, the world would love its own: but because you{} are not of the world, but I chose you{} out of the world, therefore the world hates you{}.

13 And Jesus withdrew from there: and great multitudes from Galilee and Decapolis and Jerusalem and Judea and [from] beyond the Jordan followed him.

14 And the report of him went forth into all Syria: and they brought to him all who were sick, held with diverse diseases and torments, and possessed with demons, and epileptic, and palsied; and he healed them.

28 and the base things of the world, and the things that are despised, God chose, the things that are not, that he might bring to nothing the things that are:

29 that no flesh should glory before God.

19 Oh how great is your goodness, Which you have laid up for those who fear you, Which you have wrought for those who take refuge in you, Before the sons of man!

31 Now is the judgment of this world: now will the prince of this world be cast out.

27 but God chose the foolish things of the world, that he might put to shame those who are wise; and God chose the weak things of the world, that he might put to shame the things that are strong;

2 and he is the propitiation for our sins; and not for ours only, but also for the whole world.

7 Or what king, as he goes to encounter another king in war, will not sit down first and take counsel whether he is able with ten thousand to meet him who comes against him with twenty thousand?

8 Take heed lest there will be anyone who makes spoil of you{} through his philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ:

12 But we received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is from God; that we might know the things that were freely given to us of God.

7 Nevertheless I tell you{} the truth: It is expedient for you{} that I go away; for if I don't go away, the Comforter will not come to you{}; but if I go, I will send him to you{}.

8 And he, when he has come, will convict the world in respect of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment:

9 of sin, because they do not believe on me;

10 of righteousness, because I go to the Father, and you{} see me no more;

11 of judgment, because the prince of this world has been judged.

13 And don't marvel, brothers, if the world hates you{}.

4 You{} are of God, [my] little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he who is in you{} than he who is in the world.

14 I have given them your word; and the world hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.

16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whoever believes on him should not perish, but have eternal life.

12 For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world-rulers of this darkness, against the spiritual [hosts] of wickedness in the heavenly [places].

26 But know this, that if the master of the house had known in what watch the thief was coming, he would have watched, and would not have allowed his house to be broken through.

19 And this is the judgment, that the light has come into the world, and men loved the darkness rather than the light; for their works were evil.

19 Now we know that whatever things the law says, it speaks to those who are under the law; that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may be brought under the judgment of God:

4 For whatever is begotten of God overcomes the world: and this is the victory that has overcome the world, [even] our faith.

7 But Yahweh sits [as king] forever: He has prepared his throne for judgment;

8 And he will judge the world in righteousness, He will judge the peoples in uprightness.

17 And the world passes away, and its desire: but he who does the will of God stays forever.

3 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh.

27 Pure and undefiled religion before our God and Father is this, to visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, [and] to keep oneself unspotted from the world.

2 And don't be fashioned according to this age: but be transformed by the renewing of your{} mind, that you{} may prove what the will of God is--that [which is] good and acceptable and perfect.

27 Peace I leave with you{}; my peace I give to you{}: not as the world gives, I give to you{}. Don't let your{} heart be troubled, neither let it be fearful.

15 Don't love the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.

16 For all that is in the world, the desire of the flesh and the desire of the eyes and the vain glory of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.

15 I don't pray that you should take them from the world, but that you should keep them from the evil [one].

11 The heavens are yours, the earth also is yours: The world and the fullness of it, you have founded them.

11 For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation to all men,

12 instructing us, to the intent that, denying ungodliness and worldly desires, we should live soberly and righteously and godly in this present age;

10 He was in the world, and the world came into existence through him, and the world did not know him.

16 For all that is in the world, the desire of the flesh and the desire of the eyes and the vain glory of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.

12 Again therefore Jesus spoke to them, saying, I am the light of the world: he who follows me will not walk in the darkness, but will have the light of life.

15 I don't pray that you should take them from the world, but that you should keep them from the evil [one].

16 They are not of the world even as I am not of the world.

17 Sanctify them in the truth: your word is truth.

18 As you sent me into the world, even so I sent them into the world.

25 O righteous Father, the world didn't know you, but I knew you; and these knew that you sent me;

26 and I made known to them your name, and will make it known; that the love with which you loved me may be in them, and I in them.

36 For what does it profit a man, to gain the whole world, and forfeit his life?
