1 Eis os que apuseram o seu selo: Neemias, o governador, filho de Helquias.2 Saraías, Azarias, Jeremias,3 Fasur, Amarias, Melquias,4 Hatus, Sebenias, Meluc,5 Harim, Merimut, Abdias,6 Daniel, Genton, Baruc,7 Mosolão, Abias, Miamin,8 Maazias, Belgai, Semeías.9 Levitas: Josué, filho de Azanias, Benui, dos filhos de Henadad, Cadmiel10 e seus irmãos, Sebenias, Odaías, Celita, Falaías, Hanã,11 Mica, Roob, Hasebias,12 Zacur, Serebias, Sabanias,13 Odaías, Bani, Baninu.14 Chefes do povo: Faros, Faat-Moab, Elão, Zetu, Bani,15 Boni, Azgad, Bebai,16 Adonias, Begoai, Adin,17 Ater, Ezequias, Azur,18 Odaías, Hasum, Besaí,19 Haref, Anatot, Nebai,20 Megfias, Mosolão, Hazir,21 Mesizabel, Sadoc, Jedua,22 Feltias, Hanã, Anaías,23 Oséias, Ananias, Hassub,24 Aloes, Falea, Sobec,25 Reum, Hasebna, Maasias,26 Equias, Hanã, Anã,27 Meluc, Harim, Baana.28 O resto do povo, os sacerdotes, levitas, porteiros, cantores, natineus, e todos os que estavam separados dos povos estrangeiros para seguir a lei de Deus, suas mulheres, filhos e filhas, todos os que estavam em idade de conhecer e compreender,29 juntaram-se aos seus irmãos, às pessoas importantes, e se comprometeram com juramento a caminhar segundo a lei de Deus, dada por intermédio de Moisés, seu servo, a observar e a praticar todos os mandamentos do Senhor, nosso Deus, suas ordenações e leis.30 Prometemos não dar nossas filhas aos habitantes da terra e não tomar suas filhas para os nossos filhos;31 nada comprar da terra, em dia de sábado ou em dia de festa, se trouxessem para vender, naqueles dias, mercadorias ou quaisquer gêneros alimentícios que fossem; deixar repousar a terra e não reclamar nenhuma dívida no sétimo ano.32 Impusemo-nos a obrigação de pagar cada ano o terço de um siclo para o serviço do templo:33 os pães da proposição, a oblação perpétua, o holocausto perpétuo, os sacrifícios dos sábados, das neomênias e das festas, as coisas consagradas, os sacrifícios expiatórios em favor de Israel, e para todo o serviço da casa de nosso Deus.34 Tiramos a sorte, sacerdotes, levitas e o povo, para a repartição da oferta da madeira, a fim de que cada família, por sua vez, em cada ano, nas épocas determinadas, trouxesse ao templo o material necessário para manter aceso o fogo do altar do Senhor, nosso Deus, de conformidade com o que está escrito na lei.35 Tomamos o compromisso de levar ao templo, cada ano, as primícias de nosso solo e as de nossos campos de apresentar igualmente aos sacerdotes que fazem o serviço da casa de Deus, como está prescrito na lei,36 os primogênitos dos nossos filhos e de nossos rebanhos, e os primogênitos de nossos bois e de nossas ovelhas;37 do mesmo modo, de levar aos sacerdotes, nas salas da casa de Deus, as primícias de nossos alimentos, nossas oferendas, assim como dos frutos de todas as árvores, do vinho e do azeite; e de entregar o dízimo de nosso solo aos levitas, que estavam encarregados de transportá-lo para todas as nossas aglomerações agrícolas.38 Um sacerdote da linhagem de Aarão acompanharia os levitas quando recebessem o dízimo; e os levitas trariam o dízimo do dízimo à casa de nosso Deus, para as salas que servem de depósito.39 Porque os filhos de Israel e os filhos de Levi devem trazer para essas salas as primícias do trigo, do vinho e do azeite; nessas salas é que se acham os utensílios do santuário, e é ali que os sacerdotes se encontram em serviço, bem como os porteiros e os cantores. Assim é que nós não mais queremos negligenciar a casa de nosso Deus.

1 (10:2) And with those whose seal was affixed were, Nehemiah the Tirshatha the son of Chachalyah, and Zidkiyah.2 (10:3)Then Serayah, ‘Azaryah, Jeremiah,3 (10:4) Pashchui, Amaryah, Malkiyah,4 (10:5) Chattush, Shebanyah, Malluch,5 (10:6) Charim, Meremoth, ‘Obadiah,6 (10:7) Daniel, Ginnethon, Baruch,7 (10:8) Meshullam, Abiyah, Miyamin,8 (10:9) Ma’azyah, Bilgai, Shema’yah: these were the priests.9 (10:10) And the Levites: Jeshua’ the son of Azanyah, Binnui of the sons of Chenadad, Kadmiel;10 (10:11) And their brethren, Shebanyah, Hodiyah, Kelita, Palayah, Chanan,11 (10:12) Micha, Rechob, Chashabyah,12 (10:13) Zaccur, Sherebyah, Shebanyah,13 (10:14) Hodiyah, Bani, Beninu.14 (10:15) The chiefs of the people: Par’osh, Pachath–moab, ‘Elam, Zatthu, Bani,15 (10:16) Bunni, ‘Azgad, Bebai,16 (10:17) Adoniyah, Bigvai, ‘Adin,17 (10:18) Ater, Chizkiyah, ‘Azzur,18 (10:19) Hodiyah, Chashum, Bezai,19 (10:20) Chariph, ‘Anathoth, Nebai,20 (10:21) Magpi’ash, Meshullam, Chezir,21 (10:22) Meshezabel, Zadok, Jaddua’,22 (10:23) Pelatyah, Chanan, ‘Anayah,23 (10:24) Hoshea’, Chanayah, Chasshub,24 (10:25) Hallochesh, Pilcha, Shobek,25 (10:26) Rechum, Chashabnah, Ma’asseyah,26 (10:27) And Achiyah, Chanan, ‘Anan,27 (10:28) Malluch, Charim, Ba’anah.28 (10:29) And the rest of the people, the priests, the Levites, the gate–keepers, the singers, the temple–servants, and all those that had separated themselves from the nations of the lands unto the law of God, their wives, their sons, and their daughters, every one having knowledge, and having understanding,29 (10:30) Held firmly with their brethren, their nobles, and entered into a curse, and into an oath, to walk in the law of God, which was given through means of Moses the servant of God, and to observe and to do all the commandments of the Eternal One, our Lord, and his ordinances and his statutes;30 (10:31) And that we would not give our daughters unto the people of the land, nor take their daughters for our sons;31 (10:32) And that if the people of the land should bring wares or any provisions on the sabbath day to sell, we would not buy of them on the sabbath, or on another holy day; and that we would leave the fields without reaping in the seventh year, and give up every loan of hand.32 (10:33) And we established for us as one of the commandments to impose on ourselves to give the third part of a shekel in every year for the service of the house of our God;33 (10:34) For the shew–bread, and for the continual meat–offering, and for the continual burnt–offering, for those of the sabbaths, of the new–moons, for the appointed feasts, and for the holy things, and for the sin–offerings to make an atonement for Israel, and for all the work of the house of our God.34 (10:35) And we, the priests, the Levites, and the people, cast lots concerning the procuring of the wood, to bring it into the house of our God, unto the house of our fathers, at fixed times, year by year, to burn upon the altar of the Lord our God, as it is written in the law;35 (10:36) And to bring the first–fruits of our ground, and the first–fruits of all fruit of all trees, year by year, unto the house of the Lord;36 (10:37) And also the first–born of our sons, and for our unclean cattle, as it is written in the law, and to bring the first–born of our herds and of our flocks to the house of our God, unto the priests that minister in the house of our God;37 (10:38) And that we would bring the first portion of our dough, and our heave–offerings, and this of the fruit of all manner of trees, of wine and of oil, to the priests, unto the chambers of the house of our God, and the tithes of our ground unto the Levites; and that these same Levites should be the receivers of the tithes in all the cities of our land–tillage;38 (10:39) And that the priest the son of Aaron should be with the Levites, when the Levites receive the tithes; and that the Levites should bring up the tithe of the tithes unto the house of our God, to the chambers, into the treasure–house.39 (10:40) For into the chambers shall the children of Israel and the children of Levi bring the heave–offering of the corn, of the new wine, and the oil, and there shall be the vessels of the sanctuary, and the priests that minister, and the gatekeepers, and the singers: and that we will not forsake the house of our God.
