1 Don’t rejoice, Israel, to jubilation like the nations;

for you were unfaithful to your God.

You love the wages of a prostitute at every grain threshing floor.

2 The threshing floor and the wine press won’t feed them,

and the new wine will fail her.

3 They won’t dwell in Yahweh’s land;

but Ephraim will return to Egypt,

and they will eat unclean food in Assyria.

4 They won’t pour out wine offerings to Yahweh,

neither will they be pleasing to him.

Their sacrifices will be to them like the bread of mourners;

all who eat of it will be polluted;

for their bread will be for their appetite.

It will not come into Yahweh’s house.

5 What will you do in the day of solemn assembly,

and in the day of the feast of Yahweh?

6 For, behold, when they flee destruction,

Egypt will gather them up.

Memphis will bury them.

Nettles will possess their pleasant things of silver.

Thorns will be in their tents.

7 The days of visitation have come.

The days of reckoning have come.

Israel will consider the prophet to be a fool,

and the man who is inspired to be insane,

because of the abundance of your sins,

and because your hostility is great.

8 A prophet watches over Ephraim with my God.

A fowler’s snare is on all of his paths,

and hostility in the house of his God.

9 They have deeply corrupted themselves,

as in the days of Gibeah.

He will remember their iniquity.

He will punish them for their sins.

10 I found Israel like grapes in the wilderness.

I saw your fathers as the first ripe in the fig tree at its first season;

but they came to Baal Peor, and consecrated themselves to the shameful thing,

and became abominable like that which they loved.

11 As for Ephraim, their glory will fly away like a bird.

There will be no birth, no one with child, and no conception.

12 Though they bring up their children,

yet I will bereave them, so that not a man shall be left.

Indeed, woe also to them when I depart from them!

13 I have seen Ephraim, like Tyre, planted in a pleasant place;

but Ephraim will bring out his children to the murderer.

14 Give them—Yahweh what will you give?

Give them a miscarrying womb and dry breasts.

15 "All their wickedness is in Gilgal;

for there I hated them.

Because of the wickedness of their deeds, I will drive them out of my house!

I will love them no more.

All their princes are rebels.

16 Ephraim is struck.

Their root has dried up.

They will bear no fruit.

Even though they give birth, yet I will kill the beloved ones of their womb."

17 My God will cast them away, because they didn’t listen to him;

and they will be wanderers among the nations.

1 以色列啊！ 不要欢喜； 不要像外族人一样快乐， 因为你行了邪淫， 离开你的 神， 在各打谷场上喜爱卖淫的赏赐。

2 打谷场和榨酒池不能喂养他们， 新酒也必使他们失望。

3 他们必不得住在耶和华之地； 以法莲要回到埃及去， 要在亚述吃不洁之物。

4 他们必不得向耶和华奠酒， 他们的祭物也不能使他喜悦。他们的饼好像丧家的饼， 凡吃这饼的， 都必被玷污； 因为他们的饼只可自己吃， 不可带进耶和华的殿。

5 那么， 在规定集会的日子和耶和华节期的时候， 你们能作什么？

6 看哪！ 他们逃到亚述去， 埃及要收殓他们， 摩弗要埋葬他们。他们珍贵的银器必为蒺藜所占有， 他们的帐棚必长满荆棘。

7 惩罚的日子临近， 报应的时候来到， 以色列必定知道， 因着你们众多的罪孽和深仇大恨， 先知被看为愚昧， 受灵感动的人被当作疯子。

8 先知与 神一同作以法莲的守望者， 在他所行的一切路上， 都满有捕鸟人的网罗， 在他 神的家中只有仇恨。

9 以法莲深深败坏， 如同在基比亚的日子一般。 神必记得他们的罪孽， 惩罚他们的罪恶。

10 "我遇见以色列， 好像在旷野里遇见葡萄。我看见你们的列祖， 像看见无花果树初熟的果子。他们却来到巴力．毗珥， 专作羞耻的事， 成为可憎恶的， 像他们所爱的偶像一样。

11 至于以法莲， 他们的荣耀必如鸟儿飞逝； 没有生育， 没有怀胎， 没有成孕。

12 即使他们把儿女养大， 我也必使他们丧子， 一个不留。我离弃他们的时候， 他们就有祸了。"

13 在我看来， 以法莲的儿女注定被当作猎物； 以法莲要把自己的儿女带出来， 交给施行杀戮的人。

14 耶和华啊， 求你赐给他们； 你要赐给他们什么呢？求你使他们坠胎小产， 乳房萎缩。

15 "他们的一切罪恶都在吉甲， 我在那里憎恨他们， 因他们的恶行， 我要把他们从我的家里赶出来； 我不再爱他们， 他们的领袖都是叛徒。

16 以法莲被击打， 他们的根枯干了， 必不能再结果子。即使他们生产， 我必杀死他们所生的爱子。"

17 我的 神必弃绝他们， 因为他们不听从他； 他们必在列国中飘流。
