5 Jesus therefore, lifting up his eyes and seeing that a great multitude was coming to him, said to Philip, "Where are we to buy bread, that these may eat?" 6 He said this to test him, for he himself knew what he would do.

7 Philip answered him, "Two hundred denarii worth of bread is not sufficient for them, that every one of them may receive a little."

5 Et Jésus ayant levé ses yeux, et voyant que de grandes troupes venaient à lui, dit à Philippe : d'où achèterons-nous des pains, afin que ceux-ci aient à manger?

6 Or il disait cela pour l'éprouver : car il savait bien ce qu'il devait faire.

7 Philippe lui répondit : [quand nous aurions] pour deux cents deniers de pain, cela ne leur suffirait point, quoique chacun d'eux n'en prît que tant soit peu.
