16 Yahweh of Armies says,
"Don’t listen to the words of the prophets who prophesy to you.
They teach you vanity.
They speak a vision of their own heart,
and not out of the mouth of Yahweh.
17 They say continually to those who despise me,
‘Yahweh has said, "You will have peace;"’
and to everyone who walks in the stubbornness of his own heart they say,
‘No evil will come on you.’
21 I didn’t send these prophets, yet they ran.
I didn’t speak to them, yet they prophesied.
16 Thus saith the LORD of hosts, Hearken not unto the words of the prophets that prophesy unto you: they make you vain: they speak a vision of their own heart, and not out of the mouth of the LORD. 17 They say still unto them that despise me, The LORD hath said, Ye shall have peace; and they say unto every one that walketh after the imagination of his own heart, No evil shall come upon you.23.17 imagination: or, stubbornness 21 I have not sent these prophets, yet they ran: I have not spoken to them, yet they prophesied.
16 This is what the Lord Almighty says:
"Do not listen to what the prophets are prophesying to you;
they fill you with false hopes.
They speak visions from their own minds,
not from the mouth of the Lord.
17 They keep saying to those who despise me,
‘The Lord says: You will have peace.’
And to all who follow the stubbornness of their hearts
they say, ‘No harm will come to you.’
21 I did not send these prophets,
yet they have run with their message;
I did not speak to them,
yet they have prophesied.
16 Thus says the Lord of hosts: "Do not listen to the words of the prophets who prophesy to you, [Ps. 12:2] filling you with vain hopes. [ver. 21, 26; Num. 16:28]They speak visions of their own minds, not from the mouth of the Lord. 17 They say continually to those who despise the word of the Lord, [Zech. 10:2]; See ch. 6:14‘It shall be well with you’; and to everyone who See ch. 3:17stubbornly follows his own heart, they say, ch. 5:12;Mic. 3:11‘No disaster shall come upon you.’"
21 See ch. 14:14"I did not send the prophets,
yet they ran;
I did not speak to them,
yet they prophesied.
16 This is what the Lord of Heaven’s Armies says to his people:
"Do not listen to these prophets when they prophesy to you,
filling you with futile hopes.
They are making up everything they say.
They do not speak for the Lord!
17 They keep saying to those who despise my word,
‘Don’t worry! The Lord says you will have peace!’
And to those who stubbornly follow their own desires,
they say, ‘No harm will come your way!’
21 "I have not sent these prophets,
yet they run around claiming to speak for me.
I have given them no message,
yet they go on prophesying.
16 Thus says the Lord of hosts:
"Do not listen to the words of the prophets who prophesy to you.
They make you worthless;
Jer. 14:14; Ezek. 13:3, 6They speak a vision of their own heart,
Not from the mouth of the Lord.
17 They continually say to those who despise Me,
‘The Lord has said, Jer. 8:11; Ezek. 13:10; Zech. 10:2"You shall have peace" ’;
And to everyone who Deut. 29:19; Jer. 3:17walks according to the dictates of his own heart, they say,
Jer. 5:12; Amos 9:10; Mic. 3:11‘No evil shall come upon you.’ "
21 "IJer. 14:14; 23:32; 27:15 have not sent these prophets, yet they ran.
I have not spoken to them, yet they prophesied.

"Do not listen to the words of the prophets who are prophesying to you.
They are leading you into futility;

‘The Lord has said, "You will have peace" ’;
And as for everyone who walks in the stubbornness of his own heart,
They say, ‘Disaster will not come on you.’
21 "I did not send these prophets,
But they ran.
I did not speak to them,
But they prophesied.
16 This is what the Lord of Armies says: "Do not listen to the words of the prophets who prophesy to you. They are deluding you. 16 Thus saith the Lord of hosts: Hearken not to the words of the prophets that prophesy to you, and deceive you: they speak a vision of their own heart, and not out of the mouth of the Lord. 17 They say to them that blaspheme me: The Lord hath said: You shall have peace: and to every one that walketh in the perverseness of his own heart, they have said: No evil shall come to you. 21 I did not send prophets, yet they ran: I have not spoken to them, yet they prophesied.
